Highly recommend NOT buying a car from Prestige. I purchased a vehicle a month and a half ago and have had nothing but issues with it. Within the first hour of driving the car, I had already reached I purchased a vehicle a month and a half ago and have had nothing but issues with it. Within the first hour of driving the car, I had already reached out to the salesman about concerns I had regarding the way the car drove. I took it in to be looked over and was told that there was something that the service tech felt while driving but that the car “needed to adapt to the way I drive” and that they didn’t need to look at the vehicle. The next day, the lower control arm gave out as I was driving and I had to get the vehicle towed back to Prestige. Two days later, they noticed that the shaking that I had described to them previously was in fact a faulty transmission. They vehicle went in for almost ten days worth of front end and transmission work. I got the vehicle back and 7 days later had a check engine light on. They made me wait a week to bring the vehicle in for a work up and found a faulty o2 sensor as well as more transmission trouble. Five days later, I picked the vehicle up again. On the way home, the check engine light came back on. I brought the car back that night and got in touch with the service manager two days later who told me explicitly that the vehicle has now been at the transmission shop four times and that the only option is to take the car apart and rebuild it and that it would not be worth it. I was told by him that he had talked to Tony and that they were going to work out either a buyback or get me in something else off the lot as a trade that weekend. I went in today to discuss the next step. They wanted to switch me out to something else on the lot. We went over all the vehicles there and there was nothing that was comparable. There were a couple options on the other lots but they are not willing to take put me in something slightly above what I paid for the original car. Instead, I get to continue driving a car that I have been TOLD is a loss while I wait for them to hopefully get something on the lot that is comparable to switch me out into With the headache that I have been thru, the amount of work I have missed by not having a vehicle, the gas from driving back and forth to the dealership multiple times, the payments that I have to be making on a vehicle that I haven’t even driven for two weeks since purchasing, and the overall stress of the situation, you would THINK that they would be willing to help me out or even do a full buyback. They could have cut their losses and I would have taken my business elsewhere and not written up a bad review but they don’t have a mind on customer satisfaction. I have been unbelievably patient with them during this whole ordeal but the fact that they won’t work to accommodate a customers needs is blowing my mind. For $20k, you would think that a vehicle would be in good condition or that the dealer would at least bend over backwards for a customer who has problems with the vehicle within the first week of owning it….. proceed with caution if looking at a vehicle from them and be ready for a massive headache if your vehicle purchased has problems!!! The safety and satisfaction of the customer should be their top priority but it’s not. More
