I was not given the title when I bought a car from Prestige Lexus. I have spent the last SIX weeks trying to track the paperwork down to register my car. Terrible service, would give this place 0 Prestige Lexus. I have spent the last SIX weeks trying to track the paperwork down to register my car. Terrible service, would give this place 0 stars if I could. DO NOT buy a car from here. My salesperson was nice and is trying to help but their DMV department (if that exists) is slow and unprofessional. More

Short story long: I recently bought an L-Certified 2017 LS460 at a dealership in NY (whose name I may never speak again), rather than at Prestige Lexus of Ramsey, where I and several friends have purchased LS460 at a dealership in NY (whose name I may never speak again), rather than at Prestige Lexus of Ramsey, where I and several friends have purchased 5 cars. During my first long drive above 60 MPH one week later, I noticed a significant amount of vibration in the steering wheel and in the rear seats. Rotated the tires myself and the vibration got worse. Called the selling dealership, who told me the car was L-Certifed and that I could take it to any dealership for repair. Took it to Prestige Lexus of Ramsey, where they told me all 4 tires were bent, with two of them severely and that tires are not covered by the L-Certified warrantee. A local wheel and tire shop later told me two of the rims were irreparable. Joe Scalo and Steve (Prestige service Advisors) gave me good advice, did not try to upsell me, and suggested I explore reaching out to the selling dealership for some help. (BTW, they made no promises and told me that legally I may not have any recourse). After 11 unreturned calls to the selling dealership, I was given a rude and unprofessional Heisman Trophy-like stiff arm. They even accused me of damaging all four rims myself in under 1k of driving. Thank’s to the advice and honesty at Prestige Lexus, and a bit of online research I was ultimately able to get the situation remedied to my great satisfaction by Lexus Corporate. Split the cost of the fix with corporate and now my car now rides like an L-Cert is supposed to. Despite my terrible experience at Lexus of Rockville Center,NY (oops I said their name), Lexus Corporate and Prestige Lexus of Ramsey, not to mention how darn sweet these cars are, have retained me as a loyal customer. UPDATE: Prestige goes further south. For the record, this is all real. I know to those who have not visited this dealership it probably seems like a fictional story. Those who are having issues with them sur is all real. I know to those who have not visited this dealership it probably seems like a fictional story. Those who are having issues with them surely understand. So yesterday I went to pick up my car from the Service Department, which I had to take there (again) due to transmission issues. Also, I wanted to see when they would get me plates. I hadn’t signed out the loaner when they gave it to someone else! All my belongings were in that vehicle, including my EZ Pass. It is now being used (probably inadvertently) by that driver. Prestige is defined as “widespread respect and admiration felt for something on the basis of a perception of their achievements or quality.” Mr. Miller, can you please point to the “quality” of your establishment? How about renaming this place... Pathetic Lexus of Ramsey? There’s actually more from my visit but... you get the picture? ORIGINAL: Prestige went south! Once upon a time Prestige dealerships were the place to go to when one was in the market for a vehicle. The Prestige Family of Fine Cars was - well - family owned and operated. Now it is part of Lithia Motors. I know the name and title of every employee I’ve dealt with. Nevertheless, I will speak of the establishment as a whole. On April 16th, 2020, which was the height of the pandemic, I purchased a Certified 2017 Lexus RX350 from Prestige Lexus of Ramsey. I was one of only three customers there. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have not been able to wake up from what became a nightmare. First, a few days after signing the contract agreement I received a phone call in which they stated that there was a mistake and my monthly payment was actually $7 higher. To which I responded: No thanks! Second, two months past and I hadn’t received my plates. I know DMV work was limited but I saw many NY vehicles with new license plates during those days. Third, about three months later I had yet to receive my welcome package from Lexus Financial Services. It’s how you register your account and make your payments. So about five months later I received a phone call from LFS informing me that my payment was late. I have no idea what in the world Prestige Lexus did but I couldn’t access my account to make payments. Again, no welcome package was sent to me! Do not expect anyone to answer the phone or respond to emails! Do not expect anyone to answer the phone or respond to emails! There, I made that statement twice. So if you go to Prestige expecting an experience different from that of dealerships on Northern Boulevard (NY) or Route 46 (NJ) ... I have a bridge to sell you. It begs the question: how can Lexus allow such a shady and incompetent store to operate under their name? How did the new owners manage to ruin what was once a great business?! Only they and God know. I can go on and on about my experiences with them. But I’ll just add two more. That transmission! That 8 speed unit doesn’t know what it’s doing. Downshifts abruptly, constantly hunts for gears, jerks when put into Reverse from Drive. I’ve tested other similar models and not all have these problems. All they have to do is update the software or simply replace the transmission. In other words, just fix the problem. I have taken it in multiple times and their solution to the problem is “that’s how that transmission is designed.” So I might as well just have gotten an Acura MDX with the jerky 9 speed ZF transmission? Lastly, almost a year and no license plate! What did they tell me last time I went to inquire about this? “We sent you the title so you can go and register the vehicle.” Yes, those were the exact words from an office employee. You charged me $305 for DMV (it is actually less) and now you’re telling me to go register the vehicle myself? What an insult to a customer. Oh, how about that $599 document preparation fee? What was it for if you can’t even register a vehicle with DMV? This fee was $389 when Lithia purchased Prestige in early 2018. It is now $699. No incompetence when it comes to their bottom line. Obviously I am no longer a loyal customer. I won’t be recommending Prestige to my extended family, friends and co-workers. However, I am going to be kind enough and make a suggestion. Ladies and gentlemen of Prestige, do your customers a big favor: resign! Just quit and go do something else. I am sure there are scores of people out there that are ready, willing and able to responsibly do the job you currently hold. (Or maybe a Lithia executive should leave their nice office in Medford, Oregon and come to New Jersey to save this sinking ship? More
RUN RUN from this place!! I purchased a 2017 Rx350 on RUN RUN from this place!! I purchased a 2017 Rx350 on 1/18/21 and I am having the most horrific experience with this dealership!! GO to another Lexu RUN RUN from this place!! I purchased a 2017 Rx350 on 1/18/21 and I am having the most horrific experience with this dealership!! GO to another Lexus dealer!! There are plenty out there!!! Thomas Roach is the worse sales person ever..I haven’t been able to drive my Lexus for 1.5 months. The managers are not responsive at all!!! I left multiple messages for 3 managers did not receive a call back from any of them. I think they want the sales person to deal with the issues that come up with a purchase. What the managers don’t understand is that if the sales person is irresponsible nothing is going to get done. I’m going to file a complain with the Better Business Bureau and Lexus customer relations. It is now nearing 3 months and my issue has not been resolved. As soon as I mentioned BBB and Lexus customer relations. I got a call from a manager. Let’s see if the issue gets resolve. I will keep you posted. Prestige Lexus NEVER again for me!! Don’t buy here!! What was suppose to be a reward from me to me for all my hard work as a nurse during COVID has turn out to be a nightmare. I’m so disappointed! More
