Lost out on the rebate So my google review of this place was really good as I was originally pleased with my purchase. One reason I went to them is because of the Student Rebate for $500 that they were offering at the time. I was eligible and got a decent deal on my vehicle, so went with them. Everything went smooth except for when I was signing my paperwork, I was told to bring my diploma as they could not "apply" the rebate to the financials that were worked because the picture was not clear enough. That's fine - brought my diploma with me and I'm told since the financials were already worked out I could get a check in the mail for the rebate. Frustrating but okay. I'm told to go to id.me to submit the information for the rebate and I'll "get a nice check in the mail." I go to submit the information and it only allows current students on that site and not recent graduates (which what the rebate also applies to). So I go through the dealership's website for the student rebate (the part before purchasing a vehicle) so that my information is at least in there and maybe that's the way to get the rebate. I emailed my salesman after doing so asking if this was correct and about the other site not working. No response. Emailed the finance manager. No response. Left TWO messages for the finance manager. No response, no call back, nothing. So at this point, I purchased my vehicle a few weeks back and am really pissed that I may not get my rebate because so much time has passed. Really disappointed. Prompt and efficient service Casey at the service center was very helpful when we brought my car in for an oil change and mentioned a slow leak in one of the tires. Third row brake light I had to have my 3rd row brake light fixed. Sad that it was so expensive but glad that it was done in an hour and it was easy to come in have it fixed I had to have my 3rd row brake light fixed. I was told it would be an hour and it was an hour so I'm happy that they gave me correct information and I didn't have to wait longer than expected. More

Buyer beware I purchased my 2004 Ford F-350 from Porter and have taken my vehicle back to the Porter dealership for all the services over the years, despite the ex I purchased my 2004 Ford F-350 from Porter and have taken my vehicle back to the Porter dealership for all the services over the years, despite the extra cost. Yesterday, I took it in to have the breaks checked and I needed to have the rear break caliper replaced again. I found that difficult to believe since I just had it replaced a year and a half ago. I asked why it wasn’t covered under Ford’s 2 year parts warranty. The service writer at Porter Ford told me it wasn’t covered under warranty because the last time when they replaced it, Porter Ford used an aftermarket part from Autozone instead of a genuine Ford Motorcraft part. I asked why they would do that and then charge me a premium price for the work and after checking with everyone there they had no explanation...just that it wasn’t covered. Obviously Porter Ford is putting on aftermarket parts in their service work, charging a premium price for dealer service and then when the cheap parts fail, you paid a premium for assuming they were genuine Ford Mortorcraft parts, and then they tell customers it is their problem. A complete business service scam of the worst type. After doing business with them for 7 years I will never go back. Buyer beware. More
