They fixed my car in the parking lot the manager told me !! Worst service department I have ever been to ! They constantly tell you different stories then when you get corporate involved all the sudden your !! Worst service department I have ever been to ! They constantly tell you different stories then when you get corporate involved all the sudden your car is fixed. I have had nothing but bad experience after bad experiences and get this today my car had an alternator belt that needed to be replaced after they just replaced my engine two months ago! You would think they would put new belts on my car. Guess not .. when they called me to tell me it was done after then told me Saturday it was my fault the car wasn’t working because the “engine was flooded and over full with oil” and it wasn’t ! Oh and mind you the had a service receptionist (as they call service advisor) go under my hood to check my oil. That’s a service tech job. Obviously she don’t know what’s she’s doing to say it was over full with oil. I check it in-front of her 4 times and levels were great. When they called I asked them get my inspection is up soon since you already had the car They said yea it won’t get dont till tomorrow I said that’s fine. Corporate called them and questioned them about refunding my tow when I should have free towing so in return they call me back and explain to me why they won’t refund me the tow but oh yea we got your inspection done your car is ready after 2 hours prior he said he can’t do it till tomorrow. Okay cool go up there with my dad and there is damage on the car! AGAIN I took pics of my car on the tow truck and the next day and there is no damage!! Mind you one part of damage I could agree with them the tow company might have don’t because of the way the car had to be put on the truck but the rest is a no! And they can’t even say when those pics were taken of my car But to reassure me that they didn’t do the damage he tells me my car was never moved from the spot it was in !he said they repaired my car in the parking lot of the dealership!! On top of that if you repaired my car in the parking lot how did you do my inspection on the vehicle?!!!! You can’t do and inspection from the parking lot! And get this I drove past the dealer and my car wasn’t there and the receptionist confirmed that my car had been moved !!! What type of dealer fixes a mechanical engine issue in the parking lot !! And this is the second encounter with them ! The first time they did work on my car was horrible experience too !!! This place is a joke and no matter how much I ask to speak to the owner I get given the run around and not even his son was willing to help he just had me talk to another service rep that did nothing.? I get it the owners son is the sales manager but you would think that he would have did more !!! This place is the worst and I will ensure corporate knows everything they told me they did to my car !!! Worst place ever ! More

Returned at 1pm and the lady said there were two cars ahead of me. Never offered a sorry or an offer to try and expedite. This place priorities walk-ins over appts with drop off. Do not waste your time. More

Do not take your car there unless you want it returned in a worse condition than when it was taken in. My car was taken in after a recall, that caused my car to stall in the middle of the highway, which almost caused multiple accidents (because my steering and brakes both locked up). I was guaranteed no more than 2 weeks til I had my car back. they wanted me to PAY for a rental. They then had my car for over a month (would've been almost $1200 in rental fees). They constantly said "it'll be ready tomorrow" and then put it off for weeks. Then one lady said "You can come pick up your car but it doesnt run" WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY CAR DOESNT RUN??? it was brought so you guys could make it run because your terrible manufacturing caused it to stop running. They eventually fixed it after I reached out to a manger. I ALMOST LOST MY JOB BECAUSE THEY HAD MY CAR AND WOULDN'T GIVE ME A RENTAL. I have a house, a 5 year old kid and bills to pay, this has taken SUCH a toll on my life. Aside from all of that, I go to pick up my car (it's got a VERY expensive tiffany blue custom wrap on it) to find GREASY HANDPRINTS all over my hood, wiped down the side of my car and to top it all off an oil spill all down the front of it?!? So now, I have EVERY manager, gm, director etc trying to keep me from reaching the General Manager, Tim Pohanka himself. Well I won't stop until I do just that. And I guarantee neither me, nor any of my family will ever shop with Pohanka. Might I add, my family owns MANY auto/mechanic shops down the east cost, and they are all completely baffled by how unprofessional and STUPID the person who worked on my car must've been. I encourage to not take your car to Pohanka Hyundai of Fredericksburg. And let's not forget the guy in front of me who pick up his car that had a fresh paint job and found scratches ALL over it. Yeah, No thanks to that. I will never rep Pohanka's name in a good way until something is done about this. (And to think I almost accepted a job with them) 🤦??? More

I have been at this service location before and was satisfied with the customer service, But this time around it was not even close. First I worked with Dmitri the service writer. I needed an oil change and decided to replace my turn signal bulbs in the front due to brightness going down 70%. First he quoted me $60 for an oil change. Keep in mind I have been there before and knew he was jacking the price up about 60%, I asked him what was the difference and he tried to tell me that the oil changed to synthetic mix..... I laughed in my mind and responded to him that it's always been Synthetic blend. after stumbling around he said that pohanka changed their oil supply company and now its double the price (great business move). I decided to move forward because I was going on a road trip out of town the next day and just needed to get it changed. Now the turn signal bulbs... he would not give me a price on the spot and said he would call me later with the quotes. I left the car and went back to work. 3 hours later I get a text that said my car was ready, never did get that call with the quote. I called and spoke with Dmitry he said the oil was finish, I asked about the bulbs and he said that was done as well... ok how much? he said $42... again I have done this before the Bulbs cost $5 a piece and I have had them replaced once already for about $20. I did not feel like arguing with him since I needed my Genesis for the next day. If I agree to the price it would not be an issue the part that gets me is this. After getting my car back I realized that they only replaced one of the bulbs. If you look at the difference between the one the replaced and the other it's like night and day. One thing to overcharge customers... But it's just stealing if you overcharge and also dont render services paid for... What a disappointment!! More

Since I normally get maintenance completed at Pohanka, I contacted them regarding the issue. I was transferred to Ralph, the Service Manager. I threw all my cards on the table explaining the situation. Ralph told me not to worry. He will find out what's going on and keep me informed. True to his word, Ralph stayed in contact with me and two days later I have my car back. I've never had such a great experience from a car dealership...especially from a service shop. I going to reach out to Pohanka’s General Manager so he will know my experience with working with Ralph. I’m a happy customer of Pohanka’s Service Department. Thank you More

How do I reach out the day before I’m about to come buy the car and you tell me the car is available just to make me waste my time the next morning, run me through an hour of sales protocols knowing the car is not in your lot? Note: I called yesterday afternoon at 6pm to confirm the availability and came in to my appointment at opening the next day. When exactly was the car sold? Why not give me a call? Because they’re hoping to pull a fast one on you. When I was notified it was unavailable the salesman IAN gave me the great news!! THERES A CAR JUST LIKE IT AVAILABLE! (Spoiler: it was not) They tried getting me into the base trim and I’m sure they’d have tried to get me to pay the same amount. IAN then assured me him and TIM the manager would work something out for me. So I sit there thinking maybe they’ll give me a deal on a higher trim for the inconvenience or on a similar vehicle at the bare minimum a true explanation and honest apology. What TIM would eventually come and ask is “Is there anything else I can do for you?” “Okay, well have a great day.” ... That’s not management that’s an embarrassment. At least IAN was a polite liar. If this is what management is like at POHANKA do not shop here. It only goes down hill from there. More
