Overall, this was a great experience. When I found Pohanka I had been looking for a newer used car (certified preowned) for about two months. I had started looking very hard the last two weeks b/c I recently started commuting 2 days per week over 130 miles round-trip each time. I was checking out all of the large and small used car lots/dealerships all the way from the Stafford (610) area to the Fredericksburg "car row" (Rt. 1) area. In just the last two weeks I had test driven 8-10 cars from 5 different places. Bill (Hamilton) was by far the least pushy and most easy-to-deal-with salesman I had encountered during my feverish search for a new car. I let him know that I was test-driving multiple cars and that I was hoping to make a choice within the next day or so. I really hate to deal with someone trying to "sell" me on a car when I'm already doing my own research! Bill was very intuitive for my needs and didn't try to "lead" me to a decision. Just the type of salesman I needed. Overall, the buying experience was great! I wish that they offered the free manicures and free oil changes for life like some of their competitors do but hey - you can't have it all! More

I came in at a late hour and was greeted by Bert, one of the service department personnel. He quickly and professionally addressed my service light for my oil change and told me what else was included. He w the service department personnel. Definitely knew the timing in which a vehicle would be done and I'm extremely thankful for that so I didn't have to wait long. Though he may only be a service employee, I'll look for him the in future and bring my vehicle into service for him. It was all in the beginning through e-mail correspondence in regards to purchasing a brand new 2014 Honda Accord with my vehicle trade to work with. After all of the e-mailing back and forth, I stopped in and viewed my car that I was going to purchase. Mike made everything happen in a timely and orderly fashion, was extremely professional, and made the purchasing a no hassle gig. Mike made the experience one to always remember and I will come back and purchase another car in the future. Mike took all steps appropriate and worked with me every step of the way, always kept communication open and was extremely, and I cannot stress that enough, respectful with what I wanted and what he wanted. This was absolutely, by far, the most terrible experience I've ever had in over 30 years of working with car dealers!?! Pohanka Honda had a very specific car I wanted. Although I lived about 3 hours away, I've ever had in over 30 years of working with car dealers!?! Pohanka Honda had a very specific car I wanted. Although I lived about 3 hours away, I was more than willing to drive that far and make a deal. Well then the nightmare started...I had many e-mails and phone calls not returned? I was told at least 5 times that one of two people would call me back, but that never happened! When I could actually could get Shavon or Rocky on the phone, they were rude, shuffling papers, or even attempting to talk to someone else while dealing with me? They also would not give me specifics about the Honda Accord I wanted and the deal itself?!? They were very…deliberately evasive and deceptive! I was treated so rudely and in such a disrespectful manner, I'm amazed that these two could ever sell a single car. I wasted a week trying to deal with these two extremely unprofessional and rude individuals! There's something to be said for common decency and having good manners... More

My experience at Pohanka Honda, on Saturday, 11 Jan 2014 was excellent. Once I was finally seen by the Service Rep, Chris Behrens who was full of energy and maintained a positive friendly attitude througho was excellent. From what I saw and heard...with everyone he dealt with that day, And added pleasantry was finding out that my SRS malfunction was under warranty ... no charge! Pohanka in Fredericksburg provides a comfortable place to wait to have service done on your car. The coffee was great too! The only thing they need now is donuts or pastries...LOLOLOLOLOL. More
