I just had an industrial mechanic fix an issue with my 2014 Murano in 10 minutes since the service director and his crew at Ardmore Nissan are completely inept and have no idea what they are doing or else 2014 Murano in 10 minutes since the service director and his crew at Ardmore Nissan are completely inept and have no idea what they are doing or else they are comfortable taking advantage of customers. I brought my car to the Ardmore Nissan dealership because the lock on the trunk was jammed and the protective cover in the trunk which holds the convertible top slipped. The result was a shrill buzz which rendered the car difficult if not impossible to drive. The service manager walked out to the car with me to see the problem. I asked him if the key in the fob worked on the trunk. He told me there was only one place the key worked - in the driver's door. He suggested I make a service appointment. To look at the car and perform a diagnostic was $170. There were no appointments for a week which necessitated renting a car. I am a practitioner. My first patient looked at me as I drove in and said, “having trouble with your car?” “Gimme your Fob,” he said after I explained the problem He took out the key put it in the trunk and opened it. He straightened the protective sheet that held the convertible top. The car was fixed. He handed me the key laughing, “You know car mechanics.” “That was the Ardmore Nissan dealership,” I said. He looked at me, “The worst car mechanics!” So, I am left thinking: Was the service manager so ignorant he honestly didn’t know the key slot was next to the button on the trunk? When I spoke to my regular mechanic later, he told me to use the Drexel Hill Nissan dealership. He tells his clients never to go to Ardmore Nissan. More likely the Ardmore Nissan service director saw me as an older woman and wanted to take advantage of my vulnerability when it comes to my lack of knowledge about automobiles. Women make 80% of financial decisions so they should know the service director is a prime example of a chauvinist pig. Of course, there is always the possibility he is simply a liar. He actually knew where the trunk lock was and that the cover was most likely the problem. He didn’t want to let me into the trunk because he knew I would be able to resolve the issue. He wanted to make $170 for a diagnostic analysis when he knew exactly what the problem was. The result is that I am going to leave a review on every website I can find. People should know what the Nissan Ardmore dealership is like. Buying a car is expensive. The service that is provided at the Nissan dealership is critical. Certainly, you should know when you are not going to be treated fairly after making a big ticket purchase. More
