The salesperson, Eric Toth was pleasure to work with. The leasing experience was great! In addition, PE Honda’s service department is why I keep coming back. Great car, great dealership! I have had multiple issues with this dealership. The first time was in 2019 when I purchased a brand new vehicle from them. I asked if the price they were giving me was their bottom line and requested the vehicle price be reduced by $1500-$2000. The salesman and the finance manager stated that there was no room to discount the car any further. They then tried to sell me an extended warranty for $2000. I denied the extended warranty and completed the sale. When I returned home and looked over the sales sheet/bill of sale, I discovered that they dropped the price of the car by $2000 and then added on the $2000 extended warranty to make it look like the agreed upon price. Luckily I recorded the entire interaction on my phone and had proof they lied and committed a fraudulent act when I went back and was able to get the car for $2000 less without the warranty. A similar situation happened years prior when I bought my wife her car from this dealership, but it was an issue with the price they had the vehicle listed at on the internet and the price they told me it was when I came in. I had a screen shot of the online add. They tried to tell me it was a different car etc and tried to seek the car for more than it was advertised as. I showed them the vin/stock number matched and wound up getting the car for the advertised price. Again, more sketchy and unprofessional fraudulent behavior. The last incident occurred a couple weeks ago when I found a used car online I wanted to pay cash for. The online price was about $21,000-$22,000. I asked the online salesperson, Patty, what the bottom line price was. She did the normal “come on in and we’ll workout a deal” routine. I explained that it was only day off, I had $20,000 cash, I had my two year old with me and didn’t want to waste their time or mine and asked if she could please just give me and out the door price. She put me on hold and spoke with the general manager. After getting back in the phone she stated we could work out a deal and to come in. She said the car was just waiting for a part to be ordered and as soon as it came in I could pick it up. I told her that I needed a car asap and didn’t have time to waste at a dealership haggling over prices and to just give me their bottom line out the door price and if I was okay with it, I would come in and get the vehicle. She then stated they would definitely work with me on the price and to come in and finalize a deal. I dropped my kid off at a sitter and drove an additional 30 minutes to the dealership. Upon my arrival, patty passed me off to another salesperson and told me he would help me with the deal on the car and then walked away. The salesperson then told me the car had a factory recall on it and couldn’t be sold until the middle of the summer at earliest (6 months away) and then asked me if I wanted to put a $500 deposit to hold it when it’s ready to be sold. Needless to say I was livid and expressed my frustration to the salesperson and then he had the nerve to try and sell me a new vehicle and told me they would knock a $1000 off for the issue with the other car. After the first two incidents I had no intention of ever going back to that dealership, but finding a 6 speed vehicle was extremely difficult and they were the only dealership close that had a newer used 6 speed in my price range. Lesson learned again. This place is full of con artists and fraudsters and obviously have a history of it after having three out of three terrible sales experiences with them. Stay away. I wound up driving two hours away because I found a dealership that wasn’t interested in playing games and was honest and fair from the initial phone call. Ciocca of York was great and a guy named Tom at the Honda dealership in Lancaster was awesome too. York was able to get the car the fastest which is why I went there. You can see each time there was a clear case of fraud and/or deception. More
