Where do I begin with our visit to Phillipsburg Easton Honda... My wife and I were pretty set on wanting to lease a new Accord. Our Saleswoman seemed fine but there were definitely some things a little of Honda... My wife and I were pretty set on wanting to lease a new Accord. Our Saleswoman seemed fine but there were definitely some things a little off from the start. Interestingly, after explaining what it is we were looking for, she went and got a car for us to test drive. Nothing odd there except she NEVER ASKED FOR MY DRIVERS LICENSE!!! After the test drive we narrowed down exactly what color we wanted and the options most important to us. We wanted leather seats but not all the options of the EX model and the cost that went along with them. Her solution was to have leather seats put into an LX model. Fortunately for us we discovered ON OUR OWN that they have an Accord Special Edition that has the leather seats and is much cheaper then the EX. So we ask "Do you have this Special Edition in white with tan leather?" Her response, "Let me go inside and check." Once inside we walk through the showroom and RIGHT PAST a white with tan leather Accord Special Edition!! She didnt even know what was sitting in her own showroom directly in front of her desk!! Fast Forward past all the money business. It gets to 9pm(closing time) and they had not gotten approval for our lease so we put a $500 deposit down to hold the car. Next day I get a call that there's a "Pending Approval" so I am asked to bring in "Proof of Income" which as a self-employed Landscaper was my last years tax returns. That apparently wasnt enough to get me approved. Next day I get another call saying "We have another Pending Approval!" Not wanting to have to leave work early I asked for the details over the phone. That was "too complicated" to explain to me over the phone. So stupid me I quit work early, drug my wife and her 3 yr old cousin to the dealership, only to go into the Finance Managers office and have him say "You've been pre-approved to purchase a car for $XX,XXX!" So let me get this straight... I can have a $390/month payment for 6 Years but not a $283/month payment for 3??!! Needless to say we left rather angry and disappointed. This is where it really gets BAD!... Next day(Saturday) I call the dealership to get my $500 deposit refunded. Saleswoman says we are really busy today I will try to do it but if not I will first thing on Monday. Monday she calls and has me give my dedit card info to the receptionist to refund the money. The receptionist says "Oh I'm sorry I can't actually do your refund. The girls upstairs handle that and they aren't in today." Funny thing is the receptionist is the one that took the money in the first place! Tuesday I call again to make sure my money has been refunded. Receptionist says "Yes I see your information right here I'll pass it along to the girls upstairs they will have that done tomorrow." Next day I call AGAIN...Finally they claim to have refunded the money to my debit card(4 DAYS AFTER MY INITIAL REQUEST). Here it is a week later and I just got the money in my account this morning. After this horror story we went down the street to MULLER HYUNDAI, picked out an awesome car, and were approved for the lease. My wife and I will probably look at the Accord again after our lease is up but we will DEFINITELY NOT GO BACK TO PHILLIPSBURG EASTON HONDA!!!!!!! More

In November we leased a Civic. The experience was so pleasant, that we decided to return to lease a CR-V. Most experiences with purchasing or leasing cars in the past have been terrible. I am very happy with the purchase of my 2003 Accord Cpe with only 22k miles. The car is in excellent condition. I also received a great deal on my trade in. A pleasant, no-hassle buying experience. The salesman, Ben Lazar, knew his job and how to perform it: no pressure and no games, just the way I like it. I would recommend this dealership if you're in the market for a Honda vehicle.
