Troubleshooting An Electrical Gremlin I've only had my 2017 Navigator for a few weeks, but shortly after I bought it, I discovered that the lights along the vanity mirrors in the sun visor I've only had my 2017 Navigator for a few weeks, but shortly after I bought it, I discovered that the lights along the vanity mirrors in the sun visors didn't illuminate when opened. And I got no lights when I tried to program the remote garage door opener. After scheduling an appointment for a Saturday to get the problem resolved, I learned that it was not merely a fuse as I had hoped. The new fuse, when inserted into the fuse box, was immediately broken, which means there's an electrical fault. Unfortunately, this being a Saturday, the dealership's expert on troubleshooting electrical problems like this was out. So the very nice service writer scheduled me for a follow up appointment on a date when they had a loaner vehicle available. I am quite satisfied this problem will get resolved and trust the professionalism of Phil Long's Service staff. More
Bad Service Experience This was my first experience with Phil Long service and it I am not sure I will go to this dealership again. I had 2 remote controls that suddenly st This was my first experience with Phil Long service and it I am not sure I will go to this dealership again. I had 2 remote controls that suddenly stopped working and my side mirror was not folding in. I dropped my car off at 8:30am and when I called for an update around 3:30pm (they never called me with an update) they said that they could not figure out the problem with the remotes and that they needed to keep my car another day to figure out the problem. They said they tried reprogramming the remotes and it did not resolve the issue. I was told that they could give me new remotes since the programming did not work and I told them I wanted I wanted to do whatever would get me my car soonest because it would be a huge inconvenience to leave my car another day. They insisted that they needed my car another day. I came the following morning because I needed keys off my keychain and when I got there they said my car was ready for me to pickup. They said that they did not fix my side mirror because it would not be covered under warranty because of a scratch that indicated tampering and it would cost $600 to fix. I was furious at this response because my Navigator only has 24k miles on it, has a manufacturers’s warranty and an extra electronics warranty and no one ever tampered with the mirror. When she pulled my car up for me my car was not washed and I asked her it they washed the cars and she gave a silly excuse why it was not washed. When I left I called the Ford dealership where I got the car (not Phil Long) they said the mirror needed to be fixed under warranty and if Phil Long would not fix it I should take it somewhere else. Horrible horrible experience! More

The oil change was accomplished without incident. The maintenance check by Jim Bodden discovered the right turn signal was not operating properly. His evaluation resulted in wiring for the right turn signal was disabled by rodents (squirrels) chewing on the wiring. The maintenance flaw and other checks were accomplished in a very professional manner. The service crews at Phil Long Lincoln are the very best and that is why I've been doing business with them for many years. "A Tradition of Service" All I can say is the service I was given by Phil Long Lincoln service department on November 22-28, 2017, was a standard I have grown to expect in yea All I can say is the service I was given by Phil Long Lincoln service department on November 22-28, 2017, was a standard I have grown to expect in years of dealing with Lincoln Dealerships (since 1988). But, this particular experience was "over the top." First of all I own a 1999 Lincoln Town Car, and I have had the services done by Lincoln or Ford dealerships. I was on my way to Phil Long Lincoln to schedule an oil change, and when I arrived at the service department there was heavy smoke coming out the engine. The sales rep (Tracy Hall) addressed me and could see I had issues. I informed her I wanted to schedule an oil change, but, I would be having the car towed to another repair shop to have the current "smoke problem" taken care of. She asked if I would at least allow the service department examine what the problem was and give me an estimate on the total cost of the repair. I agreed and the estimate was done. I was told the cost, and Tracy allowed her superior (Tony Dice) to review the estimate; all I can say is, for me, being a faithful customer they worked with me relentlessly to ensure all parts, service cost and completion date was meet. It is not just service, but, "A tradition of service" that I have gotten accustom to from Lincoln, and Tracy Hall exemplifies this tradition every time I come in. I have had times were "the news wasn't good," because of the repair, but, they have always been honest with me. Although my car is aged, and some parts can be acquired through other repair shops, I always go to Phil Long Lincoln first, because I do not get service, but, "a Tradition of Service" with them. More
