had the unfortunate experience of purchasing a car from Phil Long Hyundai of Motor City five and a half months ago, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite numerous assurances, I have yet to Phil Long Hyundai of Motor City five and a half months ago, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite numerous assurances, I have yet to receive the title for the vehicle. From the beginning, they misled me about the status of the paperwork, blaming the delay on the DMV. However, after reaching out to the DMV myself, I discovered that Phil Long Hyundai of Motor City hadn't even submitted the necessary documents. Their incompetence reached new heights when they began requesting a death certificate from me, for an individual I've never even heard of, presumably the previous owner. It's clear they failed to obtain the title due to their own negligence, yet they continue to dodge responsibility. I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle to steer clear of this place. Their deceitful and illegal practices and inability to fulfill basic obligations make them entirely untrustworthy. More
I wouldn’t purchase a vehicle from them if they were the last place to buy a vehicle. They are rip offs if you go there to buy a vehicle you better read every word in the contract. They added 3 different warranties and wasn’t told me about them just put the paperwork in front of me to sign you have so many things to sign it would take you a few days to read all of it that’s how they get you. I was told that i would get 2 free windshields a year the salesman lied to me i was charged 1,300 dollars an extended warranty never said a word about the warranty and an anti theft charge also. Went i to complain about the charges they kept giving me the runaround went there 3 times to get my money back that i didn’t get a straight answer from everyone i spoke with always needed something else before i would be able to get some of my money back. Almost 4,000 dollars i spoke to someone who worked there for 12 years and she said that they are the worst dealership on the planet she left them because of the way they ripped off people. So go somewhere else and purchase a car. I asked one of the idiots how many people read every word and he and another idiot said that everyone read the whole contract i why you are lying. I’m reporting them to several agencies. Something needs to be done about them ripping off people. On a scale of one to ten i would give them a negative 1,000,000 More

Follow up to Dealership response: I do appreciate the fact that Steve Krohn (GM) took the time to listen to my concerns that I had with my purchase experience. I am disappointed that the Customer Experie fact that Steve Krohn (GM) took the time to listen to my concerns that I had with my purchase experience. I am disappointed that the Customer Experience Manager did not forward my input after I had verbally addressed them on the 20th of December. Although my concerns were responded to in person, however I was trying to relay my perception, and experience. I do understand that logistics is unpredictable but providing your sales rep ample notification prior to visiting the dealership to review an identified VIN number and waiting until arrival to disclose the status change to "service vehicle" is where I assumed that a "bait and switch" took place. The responses provided on the 3rd of January are understandable, but what does not sit well with me are the tactics and attitude of the F&I department. The dealership response does not address those issues and what Phil Long Hyundai plans to rectify it leads me to believe that that type of behavior is acceptable. The lack of including that portion in the response provided reinforces my stance and opinion in my initial posting. I do appreciate the expeditious actions to fix the "product" for the DTC codes, and lack of safety functions since the 16th of December 2023. More
Disappointed in purchase experience. 1. Bait and switch tactic was used when I researched inventory and finding out vehicle I received "out the door" numbers was no longer available up 1. Bait and switch tactic was used when I researched inventory and finding out vehicle I received "out the door" numbers was no longer available upon visiting the dealership. 2. Constant up sell stemming from car of interest turning into service loaner. 3. Horrible finance experience (We were not provided our APR, or terms prior to meeting the finance representative.) 4. The finance representative was condescending and rather than congratulate us on our purchase, we were left with a comment of "see you in 6 years" implying that we would have problems. 5. The negotiated price with the Sales rep was not communicated to the Finance officer creating a significant difference in purchase price. 6. Immediate problems surfaced with the 2023 Santa Fe Calligraphy (trim under bumper is substandard and makes noise at highway speeds/following larger vehicles) 7. Vehicle did not reach 5,000 miles when every warning light activated (ESC, Auto Hold, Downhill Brake Assist, Forward Collision warning, Rear Cross-Traffic warning, Blind Spot system, Cruise Control warnings). The vehicle's safety functions (All listed and cameras) are not operational when lights illuminate and have activated at least once a day since the 16th of December to today, 27 December 2023 (53 total DTC codes). I do not recommend this dealership and would advise potential customers to seek out different options. My last purchase in 2014 was far more satisfactory through the New Exchange Car Sales in Germany than this one with Phil Long Hyundai in Colorado Springs. My concerns elevated my scheduled appointment from 8 January 2024 to 29 December through the Customer Experience Manager. I'm hopeful that the necessary repairs will be completed, otherwise I will be looking into the Colorado Lemon Law process moving forward. More

Complaint: 12/11/23 I Michael Eugene Bully got a recall notice in the mail last month from Hyundai Corporate office stating that my 2007 Sante Fe had a recall for a leaking oil pan. I noticed before that, notice in the mail last month from Hyundai Corporate office stating that my 2007 Sante Fe had a recall for a leaking oil pan. I noticed before that, my battery kept draining so I called this Hyundai dealer in Motor City and they called me in a couple weeks ago for an inspection. During the inspection they found the leaking oil pan and also the oil from the oil pan leaked inside the alternator. So the alternator became bad due to the oil leak which caused the battery to also drain. So the technician Falepa set up my an appointment to replace the oil pan and replace the alternator plus put a oil cover over the alternator for December 13th. I called off of work for the 13th so here's the kicker. Falepa called me today 11/13 and informed me that the alternator was backed up so we have to reschedule for a later day after they receive the alternator. This was very incompetent, unprofessional, dishonest, and no integrity because why Falepa didn't just make the initial appointment after they received the alternator in the first place which caused me to miss work for no reason plus I'm also scheduled to go out of town to see my Mother, Grandkids, and daughter on December 22nd thur the 26th to spend Christmas with my Family and I was planning to drive my Sante Fe out of town. Falepa claimed they couldn't find a simple alternator but there's over a hundred Hyundai dealers in the state of Colorado so I find that very hard to believe. I even offered to ask my job Worldpac that sale warehouse auto parts but Falepa claim the parts have to come straight from the Hyundai dealer. So I told Falepa that I would be calling Every Hyundai dealer in the state in the morning to find that simple alternator and if I find one, I will be next day airing it to your store and he said okay. This sucks! I heard bad things about this Hyundai dealer but I decided to try them out since they're located close to my house. I also told Falepa that I should get some type of compensation for making me call off work for nothing which made me miss money. If they don't find a simple alternator before Christmas I do Not recommend Anyone to do Any business at this Hyundai dealer. Thank you. Respectfully Yours; The Bully Family More
