WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!! I stopped by the Phil Long dealership on Thursday, 4/24 to "browse" the inventory and to inquire about purchasing a used car and the possibility of leasing a vehicle. Betty Chen greeted me as I approached the building and immediately inquired what my intentions were. Then we proceeded to find the exact car I was looking for and at the same time I found a vehicle to lease for my college aged son. Betty was FABULOUS. I did not have any intentions in purchasing a car, let alone two in one day!! Her knowledge of the inventory and the ability to be able to match it to my wish list was fast and straight to the point. She was super from start to finish. Then we worked with Rich Carni to "seal the deal" and complete all the final details. He was top notch and I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. My wife and I sat in our new Sonata after Betty C. finished explaining everything to us. We sat there quietly for a few moments. Then I told my wife, "I feel numb with shock about this experience." Of course the car is fantastic. Hyundai out does others in how thoughtfully they have designed and manufactured every feature of this Sonata. I have never felt more safe, secure and comfortable in any previous vehicle I have driven. We were sold by exploring the car online through http://cars.com. But when we drove it, with Betty guiding us, we couldn't follow through with our original plan to test drive four other cars! Betty was so pleasant spirited, calm, professional, knowledgeable, patient, and sensitive to us. Due to our previous buying experience elsewhere, I went in with much stress and trepidation. All that was set as ease as soon as we met Betty. The icing on the cake was our brief encounter with Jenny who first helped us when we explored online. And then Richie sealed everything with his remarkable, thorough explanation of what we just purchased. He made us feel like we just got time-warped back about 50 years and bought a car from a trusted community dealer who literally had the best interest of the whole community in mind. Wow! We test drove a CPO 2012 Hyundai Tucson which we absolutely loved but wanted to test other makes/models. Needless to say we returned that afternoon and cpmpleted the purchase. Had it not been for Betty we might have made another choice. She was extremely knowledgible about the product and listened to our questions and concerns to insure our match with the right vehicle. Yet, when all was said and done, the only negative aspect of my experience with Phil Long Hyundai was the fact that the check engine light came on the day after I bought the car and then I had to deal with getting the vehicle back up to the service garage. This latter item is the main reason I did not score all 5s for my experience as it ended up taking over 2 weeks to get to my service appointment completed, but once this was accomplished, no other issues have emerged.
