I was in the market for a used Lexus RX. I was promptly greeted and was shown a large selection of used Certified Lexus RX350's. All were very clean inside and had new tires. In July of 1999, I purchased a used Lexus for approximately 34k. I was told the vehicle had no prior damages, was inspected and being sold as a Certified Pre-Owned Lexus. I specifically wanted a high quality, damage-free car as I had seen on the t.v. commercials for Certified Pre-Owned Lexus vehicles. I experienced numerous electrical problems and waterleakage in the trunk. I learned through another C.P.O. Lexus dealer who serviced my car, it had extensive body repair work done prior to my purchase.<br>It is my opinion, I was sold a vehicle under a program designed to protect me (as a consumer) but instead deceived me for the sole purpose of Performance Lexus' monetary gain. I still own a Lexus vehicle but have lost faith in the integrity behind dealerships who misrepresent their product. I learned a valuable lesson from this experience, no matter what the circumstances...buyer beware! More
