I recently leased a vehicle from Performance Ford of East Hanover and had a generally positive experience with my sales person, delivery consultant, and finance person. They were all professional and helpful throughout the process. However, I felt there was a lack of transparency when it came to the final pricing. I was initially presented with a cash-out-the-door price both on the showroom floor and again in the finance office. To my surprise, I was later asked to pay more after I declined the warranty. This discrepancy made the process feel somewhat questionable. I would advise future buyers to be vigilant and confirm all final costs before concluding the sale. I brought a classic Mustang to Performance Ford for a major maintenance early this year. The car did not make it 20 miles from leaving the shop until a breakdown on the highway requiring the car to be to major maintenance early this year. I had to call several times and finally email higher up management before they retrieved the car and towed it back to their shop. In spite of requests to keep me updated they did not let me know they had the car and then left a brief vague message about it being fixed. I could not trust that assessment and had to take it to another more reliable garage for a finally assessment of the problem they caused. The ordeal took several weeks and they would not provide a loaner during this time. More

Service department is not helpful when you purchase extended warranty on used vehicles. Another dealer has my truck waiting for authorization for over week.
