My car notifies me when it starts. It was over an hour past my appointment time before it was started. I can understand that because some jobs take longer to complete than planned. After 25 minutes I questioned my service guy and he called on a radio to see where my car was. He was told it would be right up. A few minutes later it was started and brought up.
