I selected this car lot because my father had such a great experience with Ed Meadows and other team members, when purchasing his 2011 Ford Escape. My initial experience was good. I filled out all necessary paperwork and disclosed all information about my financial situation. He, Ed, explained all of this to a manager and came back to me with an approval and a $321 monthly note (no money down). He said that I could take the Ford Focus that evening, if desired. My father wanted to wait until Monday evening, which would give him the opportunity to speak with my grandfather about the use of his Ford A plan. So we left in anticipation of returning two days later to pick up my vehicle. After arriving at the dealership, Ed got the keys and showed me some features within the vehicle that I was under the impression that I had financed, just two days earlier. Soon the manager, Bob Tierney, called for him to escort me to his station. To my utter disgust, he informed me that "there was a problem with my approval", due to the garnishment of my wages from a school loan, when I gave ALL information in my prior visit (where I received approval)!!!! I was very taken-back by all of this because I had received approval that Saturday. It is disheartening to know that you cannot trust the word of the dealership you are buying a car from. It is not my fault that an oversight was made, but I do not believe that it was (just my opinion). Ed directly told me that, "your garnishment was not a problem, my manager has reviewed the information and you are approved without money down. Due to your garnishment we could not get your monthly payment under $200, so it will be $321." These were the terms of the agreement that was sealed by a signature and a hand shake, but I am now convinced that a hand shake and a man's word does not mean a hill of beans!!!! While Ed gave good customer service, Bob did not! I did not feel like he was doing all that he would for someone else, maybe because the commission from the sale was going to someone else, so there was no need to try! He gave me the news with as much tact as a brute nurse who gives shots without regard for his/her patient's feelings!!! I would recommend him to NO ONE!!!!!! His solution was putting $1500 down, which he claimed to have negotiated down to $711 (I would believe it if I had of witnessed it) or buying a less expensive car, the Ford Fiesta! Its interior was EXTREMELY unattractive compared to the car that I believed to already be mine and the exterior was "micro"!!!! It only took me 30 seconds to realize that I did not want that car!!! Seeing that vehicle in comparison to the Focus that I had been approved for, only made me even more ANGRY!!!! Because I have such an awesome family, I was able to put the money down that I should not have had to put down in the first place! I ended up driving away with the car that I was initially given the rights to by this dealership, but definitely by no thanks of Bob Tierney (Paul Cerame manager). So, if you ask me would I recommend this dealership to my friends and family and casual acquaintances, the answer is NO; however, I would recommend Ed Meadows!!!
