I spoke with Russell over the phone and he explained that Parker Johnstone Wilsonville Honda was not like any other dealerships he had worked at in the past. He assured me that they weren't going to have a bunch of sales guys start circling the lot like sharks as I had experienced at several other dealerships. He explained that they were the friendliest no-pressure group of people he's ever worked with and to trust him that I would have a wonderful experience. I appreciated that he came out to say goodbye and to confirm that we had a great experience and liked our car. (Thanks Russell, you were right! :) ) Michael was our sales person and he was super nice! Initially, he spent some time to let us know how their dealership works and that the sales people are NOT on commission. He went on to talk about what is different about their dealership- although I was a bit skeptical because of my past experiences at dealerships, you could tell that he was telling the truth.There was absolutely no pressure and we could tell that he really wanted to get us a car that had everything we wanted, and at the right price. So, he spent quite a lot of time making sure we were comfortable with what we had selected. He was really honest and down-to-earth and we appreciated this new approach after being approached (or sized up for our purchase) from numerous sales people at other dealerships. When it came to checking out our trade-in price, Jeff helped us out and he was this really nice guy and you could tell that he was there because he loved it and he came back and gave me a very fair offer for my car. Finally, working with Terri in financing turned out to be great as well. She got me a great interest rate, and although I was skeptical a bit and waiting for them to do a bait & switch like another local dealership did, everything went as she indicated....in fact, the price for an extra item I had quoted even went down a little bit! We ended up purchasing an almost new (<6K mi) Toyota Carolla - Sports model and we love it! This morning, my daughter and I discussed how pain free this purchase was - no haggling....no deceptiveness.... no anxiety with pricing/interest rates.... it was such a great experience that my daughter said that she would even buy a car from them in the future and tell all of her friends because it was such a great experience! I walked in very skeptical that they were as This was my first time looking at Hondas and I went to this dealership on the recommendation of a friend. I walked in very skeptical that they were as nice as she said, and I was extremely reluctant to trade in the fun car I was driving. When I explained my situation to Gene he was very understanding and showed me a few options before I decided on the Fit Sport. I love that there was no high pressure sales, or haggling, or long waits while he consulted with his manager. The whole experience took about two and half hours and I got a great deal! When Gene had to leave, Stuart jumped in effortlessly and treated me with the same level of kindness as if he'd been with me since the beginning. Going into the dealership I was full of dread, and I walked out of Parker Johnstone with a whole new attitude about car buying. Thank you! More
