7 hours into a 10 hour trip to visit family for Christmas the service engine light on our Kia came on and the car went it to limp mode, not being able to accelerate over 2000 rpm’s or go faster than 60 due t the service engine light on our Kia came on and the car went it to limp mode, not being able to accelerate over 2000 rpm’s or go faster than 60 due to the knock sensor recall on the motor. We managed to make it to the nearest town with a Kia dealership. And…. Paramount Kia of Hickory saves Christmas! After what we thought would turn into a rental car situation due to having an issue that had to be addressed specifically by a Kia dealership, and being told it would be 1-2 weeks before they could even look at it that night (the service dept was already closed for the evening), trying to figure out how we’d get back to Alabama and then back to Hickory to get it…we pulled in this morning at 8:30, and thanks to the compassion of the service manager Aaron— here we are just over an hour later we are back on the road! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ More

I have been trying for the last 8 hours for someone to answer the phone at the service department. I have left messages and have had no response. I’ve never had this experience with any dealership. Although we had a good experience when we purchased our Telluride - when we tried to schedule an emergent service appointment we were told it would be 4-6 weeks. This was despite the Telluride being unable to be safely driven. Despite requesting to speak to a manager, we received no telephone call as promised. I would never purchase another vehicle from Paramount. They are more than happy to sell you a call but don’t expect to receive any service after your purchase. More
