I have been a customer at Palisades Volkswagen for over 10 years, for lots of good reasons: I always feel that the Sevice Department personnel, both those at the desk and those working in the shop, always 10 years, for lots of good reasons: I always feel that the Sevice Department personnel, both those at the desk and those working in the shop, always make me feel like I am their most important priority whenever I call or visit. They communicate clearly when there is a substantial issue with my car, and offer me as many options possible for rectifying the situatioon. They always offer me a ride to work on days when I am dropping of the car for an afternoon pickup. Their customer waiting area and restrooms are clean, well kept, and they offer both free Wi-fi and two working desk stations. In addition to the service crew, Maureen Doyle has been my sales representative for over 10 years as well. I recommend her, ,along with the others, with great enthusiasm. Time and time again, these people have shown that they are proud of their company, and proud of their work. I have no need to look elsewhere for purchasing, leasing, or servicing my vehicle. I recommend Palisades VW with the highest marks in all areas. More

I have USAA insurance and they have a price-match no haggle deal with this business and I went in with the price printed out and ready to hand them if they gave me an insane sticker price and it was act haggle deal with this business and I went in with the price printed out and ready to hand them if they gave me an insane sticker price and it was actually even lower than my no haggle price BEFORE I even mentioned it.....traded in 2006 car and walked away with a brand new 2011 GTI a few days later (I was picked and wanted a rare color in four door with stick otherwise I could have had it that day if it was DSG). One day I brought my into be serviced and I was interested in an EOS, when I was in the sales area James came over to me and asked if I needed help. I told him I was currently in a lease but reall interested in an EOS, when I was in the sales area James came over to me and asked if I needed help. He would also check in with me to see how everything was going with my car. When my lease was up I was looking at an other VW and a Acura. James made it easy for me to chose VW again, he did not pressure me and helped get the best price on my new lease. He still contacts me to this day on how I am enjoying my car. More

I paid to have it shipped from NY to my home state. when it arrived it reaked of cigerette smoke. I called my dealer here to see what could be done, he thought it could be fixed, so I called Pallisades adn asked for them to approve the cleanign and the other repair (It arrived without the back cargo cover-which is not good with a wagon) and also with a tire pressure indicator light, even though I checked the tire pressure and it was fine, so that was either an electrical problem or something. The used car sales manager called me back and stated that if the car was as bad as I said, that they woudl not be able to remove the smoke. This is how bad the smoke was: a friend that is a smoker said her nose watered just standing near it with the door opened, the trucker who dropped it of, said' mam, that car is bad, did you know you bought a smoker's car? My nose and eyes were blood shot after just 1 hour in the car, and my daughters (who hated the car because of the smell)car seat smelled of smoke after being in the car. I opened all four doors and the hatch and sunroof for five hours- in the sun, and it made no difference. the smoke smell would come pouring out of the car when you opened the door. IT came out of all rugs, leather seats, vents. There was a white powder all over the car. everyone (5 people) that got near the car coudl not believe how bad it was. Pat was very nice and said they would take the car back, and that they would over the shipping costs I had paid. I sent him the shipping info but his email bounced back as undeliverable, he called me and confirmed, but I guess their servers were down (they have bad signature lines on emails and don't read their emails) and he never got it, so I gave it to him over the phone. Then I called last friday to confirm if I should be putting the car on a truck to go back over the weekend-and got an out of office messsage. I had faith in what he had told me so I met teh trucker (at my inconvenienced)and sent the car back. On Monday, I got a call from the sales manager, John, who stated taht they woudl not reimburse me the money because I had had someone look at the car. teh person who looked at the car was a workmate, adn a smoker, she had her kids with her and did not test drive it, she just looked at it. the sales person told me the car was like new and looked great-nothing to worry about, it was a great deal and a demo car (I asked why it had such low miles as it made me wonder, and also because we coudl not find it on an auction list it was suspicious adn she said it was a demo car, which you can't smoke in, so hense, why I was not worried. it was not a demo car, it was registered to some women from MA. No one, and nowhere on the internet listing did it list that it was a smoker's car. The car is not "like new" which the VW certified listing claims. Please be careful what you believe about a certififed car as VW is not willing to get involved in what they call a sales negotation. I bought my other vw from GA and had only problems with having to repplace tires (which was not cool, but nothing like this). this is a hard to find car that can't be found where I live, which is why I had it shipped. the dealership also did not come down even $500.00 as they said hte car would sell, due to low mileage, I paid high bluebook for it. It was not in great shape, it had a huge scratch on the hood, marks on the leather, adn the missing/broken parts in the hatch. I have complained to VW Credit and to VW customer care and the dealership claims they are tryhing to contact me, they have called me 2x, thsi week-once to tell me that they would now not cover shipping and the second time to tell me to call and discuss (this was at dinner hour my time, which was 2 hours behind them!). I have left messages for the owner (he owns vw and audi) and apparently would risk the repuation of his buisnes over $1000.00 as he has not returned my 2 calls or my email. I hve left 2 messages in teh past 2 days for the sales manager john, and he has not returned them. I have spent over 20 hours of my time on this transactation-as they were so disorganized and now dealing with trying to get this resolved! In the end, it has been over a week since they told me they woudl take the car back. They have $5500.00 down payment as well as the shipping costs but are not contacting me to tell me that I am going to get my money back. That is a lot of money to not reimburse! I would not be able to purchase another car or to earn interest on it. More
