I HAVE A 2007 EOS WITH 53,000 MILES, MY CAR DIED AND I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER.THE FIRST CALL WAS FOR ME TO APPROVE $115.00 TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG, ONE HOUR LATER THEY CALLED FOR ME TO APPROVE 4 HOURS @ HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER.THE FIRST CALL WAS FOR ME TO APPROVE $115.00 TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG, ONE HOUR LATER THEY CALLED FOR ME TO APPROVE 4 HOURS @$115.00 TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG,THE NEXT DAY I WAS CALLED TO SAY I PROBABLY NEED ALMOST A NEW ENGINE THE TIMING BELT BROKE WHICH CAUSED MAJOR PROBLEMS THEY GAVE ME A PRICE OF $6,800.00 I WAS SHOCKED, I THEN CALLED VW OF AMERICA, THE RESPONSE THERE WAS WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING, THE DEALERS ARE INDEPENDANT, I CALLED SERVICE BACK AND ASKED IF THERE WAS ANYTHING THEY COULD DO TO HELP TOWARDS A NEW CAR, I WAS THERE TO TRADE IN MY CAR A COUPLE OF WEEKS BEFORE THE CAR DIED. THE CAR WAS VALUED AT $10,000.00, THE SERVICE MGR SPOKE TO THE SALES MGR, AND THEY SAW I WAS THERE FOR A NEW CAR. I WAS CALLED BACK BY SERVICE TO SAY THE CAR I LOOKED AT WAS STILL AVAILABLE AND THEY OFFERED ME $2,000.00 FOR MY CAR, AGAIN I WAS SHOCKED. 2007 CAR WITH 53,000 MILES NEEDS A NEW ENGINE AND THE DEALER AND VW DOESEN'T SEEM TO CARE. They didn't hide a thing and their initi through ones provided by TrueCar.com. I was able to get a no hassle deal from Palisades VW right up front. They didn't hide a thing and their initial price was the best. There was no need to haggle. Of course, when I got their deal, I had several of the other local dealers try to match Palisades VW offer after they were almost $15 higher. If more brokers worked like Palisades VW, the entire car dealer industry would have a better reputation. I strongly recommend Palisades VW because of their honesty and haggle free experience I had.
