To tsong50 Our Dealership participates in the DealerRater Certified Dealer Program. We are committed to providing high quality customer service, but based on your DealerRater review, you did not share that experience. That is very disappointing to us, and through this program we have the opportunity to work with you to resolve any issues with your experience at our dealership. I'd like to address your issue of our dealership not allowing test drives and the fact that "you asked other dealers and friends who work at other dealerships that never heard of Covid restrictions" and say "what normally happens is a dealership makes a copy of your license and insurance card" and you should have test driven the vehicle first. I will quote Mayor Kirk Caldwell's Emergency Order 2020-02 issued March 22nd, 2020..."UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL THERE BE IN-PERSON TEST DRIVING OF ANY VEHICLE" We were simply following the Mayor's mandate. After realizing the vehicle did not have a feature, you were not pressured into buying the vehicle or a more expensive vehicle, which would have been a "basic bait and switch". The vehicle advertised WAS AVAILABLE, and was offered at a lower price, which you declined. The vehicle's vin number explosion did in fact cause the lane assist feature to be listed and was a simple computer program error, and was never intended to mislead you or anyone else...we don't practice "bold face lying" in our day to day operations. We apologize for any time you spent and assure the public that we are in fact a trusted new and used car dealership that anyone can rely on...This Covid 19 pandemic has put many people on edge and we understand how customers can be sensitive and for that once again we apologize...We wish you well and all good things here forth...

If you read the Mayor’s proclamation dated 6/27/20 it states that dealership can have a mitigation plan consistent with the proclamation. If Pacific Honda(PH)had a mitigation plan, like other dearlerships, buyer only test drives could be authorized. In regards to the car, PH should have looked into the error after I mentioned it and made changes to the advertisement showing the features removed. As of last week it was still falsely advertised. No pressure into buying is correct but that’s what you are supposed to do if there was something missing/wrong with the car. Won’t give you credit for that! During the negotiations, I inquired about the Passport and Brian stated that they were over priced and not worth it in his opinion. Long story short I had a 180 degree experience with Tony Honda and purchased a brand new Passport. Wish you and PH the best!
