They would not give me much information on the phone and insisted I come in person to speak with a salesman. I was surprised most of them were too busy to talk to me and were telling me their sticker price MSRP was all they were selling their cars for. I came across Pacific Honda on the internet and they had great reviews and had the car I wanted in black color. I called them on the phone and spoke with a salesman name Fred, (Farhad Zafar). Fred was so nice and friendly and was eager to talk to me about the vehicle I was interested in. I immediately felt comfortable asking him so many questions about the vehicle and price. He was not pushy and he didn't pressure me to buy from him. I spoke with his Sales Manager, Mark Morrow on the phone. He was also very friendly and I was able to discuss everything I wanted in my vehicle. We came to an agreement on the price. This dealership is in San Diego and I would have to drive a long way to go there when I have 3 Honda dealerships near me. Both Fred Zafar and Mark Morrow were so attentive, super nice and professional so I decided I wanted to check out the car at their dealership. I met with Fred Zafar in their lot. He was delightful and he had the car ready to go for me to test drive. Mark Morrow came to meet my husband and I and he was engaging and pleasant. I could tell these two guys had a lot of experience in their field and were extremely knowledgeable with their vehicles. After my test drive I knew I wanted to buy the car from Fred Zafar. After we finished the financing, Fred Zafar took the time to go over everything in my new car. He set up my seat positioning, my alarm to set after I walk away from my car and walked me through the navigation system, cameras and all sorts of features. I have bought many cars in my life and never met a car salesman so compassionate about selling a vehicle to a customer as Fred was. He wanted to make sure he answered all of my questions and I was completely happy with my new detailed and shiny vehicle. I take the time to write these reviews because I read other people's reviews all the time to hear their real experiences. I will refer Fred Zahar to my family and friends to buy a car. I hope Pacific Honda's Corporate office will commend both Fred Zafar and Mark Morrow for providing me with "Outstanding Service". This was the best buying experience I had. Ask for Fred Zafar if you go there because he is so awesome and made me a happy customer! Thank you Pacific Honda! Chevelle Eldridge More

First one was, I was charged for a service that was not happened on my car which I paid for as a service package. Pacific Honda offered me a discount on the next service as a compensation when I complained. The 2nd happened recently, I was booked for a whole day to change the AC hose. That AC hose is in back order and Pacific Honda never got that part!! So the day I brought my car to change a part was for nothing. For me, it is very hard to trust Pacific Honda again! More

Upon returning Marcelo was fast, through & efficient. The car buying process was painless and to the point. Both sales consultants were very knowledgeable and took the time explaining features. Days after the purchase, Marcelo followed up with an email and offered to answer any questions that I may have. I was surprised by the thoughtfulness, would definitely recommend anyone buying a new or used car. More
Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience in Pacific Honda. They had told us we needed to resign the purchase contract since they had made a mistake. Richard Choi had told us we could return the vehicle Honda. They had told us we needed to resign the purchase contract since they had made a mistake. Richard Choi had told us we could return the vehicle since the original contract was invalid. Steve Gerardi, another supervisor, came up to us in a rude manner and told us we couldn’t make any changes. Which is fine, I get it, but it was the rude and condescending manner in which he approached us and “apologized”, which basically was a slap in the face, the way he came across. I definitely did not expect for a manager to speak to me in such a manner. In addition, Mr. Richard Choi, the one helping me originally, just basically abandoned us as clients and would not even face us or look us in the eyes. Not a way to treat a client by Richard Choi and even worst way from Steve Gerardi. I hope not to ever go through moments like these in front of my family. It was an embarrassing moment that makes me never want to return to this establishment. More

Buy Used Car Here I was in the market for a used car and was having a problem getting one, most dealers wanted a cosigner since I did not have a car on my credit report I was in the market for a used car and was having a problem getting one, most dealers wanted a cosigner since I did not have a car on my credit report and my credit wasn't that strong. I applied to this dealer through credit Karma one of the sites that hook you up with a dealer and I was introduced to Pacific Honda used car department and Eduardo Ibarra. Eduardo took care of me, I had already seen a car online a 2011 Nissan Altima with low miles only 85,000 and was interested in it. We went for a test drive and then began to get some background information etc., the salesperson was quite helpful and was able to get me financed. Although I had to pay a higher interest rate, I could not have got financed otherwise or would still continue to have a hard time getting an auto loan. As far as the product is concerned there was no pressure in buying the car and after a month or so the car seems to hold up well. When I bought the car it seemed to have minor body work that was needed. Eduardo completed a "Due Bill" with me and took care of the minor damage even though we seemed to miss a scratch. These guys seem to do good work and no haggling about the repair. Overall I would recommend them to anyone seeking a second chance and or starting over. More
Bad negotiators They did not listen what i was there for. All they want is just to pull your credit and then they can talk to you about price. I could not even nego They did not listen what i was there for. All they want is just to pull your credit and then they can talk to you about price. I could not even negotiate anything. So basically this guys are good to se only online, nothing new to get from them unless pull your credit score. that is so dumb. More
Mismatched tires I bought a 2015 Honda civic from Pacific Honda in June, 2018. This week when I went to the Pacific Honda Service for a reset in tire pressure checking I bought a 2015 Honda civic from Pacific Honda in June, 2018. This week when I went to the Pacific Honda Service for a reset in tire pressure checking system, a service guy told me that one of my tire is in different brand with the other three tires. That one is from Yokohama, and the other three are from Michelin, which is the original tire model. I was shocked that this could happen on a car bought from a serious dealership, not from a random guy trying to rip me off. The mismatch in tires is definitely causing different handling in tires due to the material, construction and tread design from different tire manufactuers, and therefore leading to long-term issues in car, such as alignment, suspension and transmission problems. I went to the Pacific Honda to talk about this and asked for a replacement of the mismatched pair of tires, or at least that one Yokohama tire. The manager, Jose Rogrigues, was trying to convince me that the two mismatched tire are exactly the same without even going out to have a look at my car. He offers to cover only half of the price to replace the Yokohama tire, since it is "not a safety-related issue". How come they can define this is not related to safety? The car parts related to tires could fail earlier than they are supposed to be. When I bought the car, I was told all the tires are new, so I didn't ask if the tires are matched. Aren't the tires supposed to be MATCHED on a car? Another manager, Curtis Ringle, performed a "I have asked my boss and this is the best we can do" act. This is really annoying and disappointing. I am writing this down to let people know never go to Pacific Honda for used car shopping. They will only treat you well before you buy a car from them. More

I had such a great experience with Jeff McPike the first time (when he was the only person on the west coast that was able to get me the exact car I wanted) that was sure to return. I was not disappointed. I absolutely dread the car buying experience. Negotiating, add-ones, bait and switch... you will get NONE of that with Jeff. He’s honest, transparent, quick, and ultra professional. He even came in on a Sunday (his day off) to finalize the sale of a high-demand car because I couldn’t make it in sooner. I have and will continue to recommend to all my friends and family to visit Jeff McPike at Pacific Honda. He’s seriously the man. More
Dishonest Management and Finance closers I will NEVER recommend this dealership. This is my last time dealing with Pacific Honda and Honda in general. I WILL NEVER BUY OR LEASE FROM YOU AGAIN I will NEVER recommend this dealership. This is my last time dealing with Pacific Honda and Honda in general. I WILL NEVER BUY OR LEASE FROM YOU AGAIN! Twice I've leased from Pacific Honda and twice I've been TOTALLY RIPPED OFF! There are 4 of my family members in Texas that drive Honda's. After hearing about another horrible experience with Pacific Honda. Not only did I stay loyal to the same brand. I stayed loyal to the dealership as well. In addition to this, I rented a hotel room in San Diego, paid for a dog sitter, and drove all the way to San Diego from LA to pick up this car. Why did I do this? First and foremost to stay loyal. Second, to receive this amazing discount that was noted/sent to me. Not only did I not receive this discount, but I paid more than the initial price of the car. I came to San Diego expecting to pay less than the $282 I was paying for my previous car (which was more expensive), but I left with a lease that is $327 a month. That's $45+ more than my previous car. This after being told that I would receive this amazing discount no matter what. Initially I was told that my lease would be the same amount as my previous lease. This after they tried to lease the car to me at 3 different prices before this price was quoted. This, also after testing the car, thinking about it, making sure it was the one for me instead of the Lexus I nearly leased. This, also after thinking I was getting the car at one price for 2 hours (until they ran a credit check). Negative credit check or not, I rented a hotel room in San Diego, paid for a dog sitter, and drove all the way to San Diego from LA to pick up this car. Why not just do a credit check before everything else? Before 'me' driving to SD, before paying for a dog sitter, before renting a hotel room. I am absolutely FURIOUS, and HATE how these criminals CHEATED me. In addition to all of this, it was a Honda Financial credit report, not an actual credit report that is used for everything else. If Honda would have used the official credit report, I would have been able to negotiate a lower price than the $282 that I agreed on. Although I extended my lease to a fourth year, Made every single one of my payments + late fees, I'm still treated like someone who has never walked into your dealership. OH! Don't let me get started on the finance closer. After explaining my horrible experience, she STILL tried to push all of these extras on me. I sat there for over an hour while she tried to sell all of these extras to me 3 different times. Why she kept pushing after the 2nd go around, I could not tell you. PATHETIC! Chris More
