Bought an Elantra and was lied to about the warranty About three years ago, I purchased my first car here. As most know, a major selling point for a Hyundai is the 10 year 100000 mile warranty. It being About three years ago, I purchased my first car here. As most know, a major selling point for a Hyundai is the 10 year 100000 mile warranty. It being a 2011 Elantra PZEV with only about 35000 miles on it, I wasn't too worried. We go through the whole process and get to finance where we are informed this cars warranty is not what we were told. Upset at the lie, we start to leave when we are stopped by our salesman Nick. He assured us that the warranty only expires on the electrical system and I will be covered for any major repairs so we finished the deal. Let's fast forward to last month shall we? I brought the in at about the 93000 miles because the engine was making a strange noise. They didn't tell me what was wrong with the car despite the fact that I was sitting in the lobby. They called my cosigner who now lives in Florida, and kindly informed us that we only had the 5 year 60000 mile warranty. Turns out our salesman lied repeatedly. Service did nothing to try and make reparations except try to convince me to buy a new car through them. I paid over a hundred dollars for them to tell me they lied 3 years ago. So I went a got a new car. Then I found some more paperwork detailing the inclusion of a 100000 mile power train warranty on top of the 5 year 60000 bumper to bumper. Lied to by sales and lied to by service. Stay far, far away from this dealership. More

I made this very clear only to find out that the dealership did not want to haggle either. They offered what I thought was a decent price for the vehicle. Ricky and Pernell made the experience rather pleasant. So much so that my shopping pretty much stopped there. Bottom line is that I actually felt like they valued my business. A rare commodity in today's world. I was not treated like a number. They actually remembered my name from visit to visit. More
