I had a recall appointment set for 2 pm and I had my two young children with me. I arrived in time and was told it would be ready between 4 and 5. At 4:30 I followed up with the front desk and they said it young children with me. I arrived in time and was told it would be ready between 4 and 5. At 4:30 I followed up with the front desk and they said it should be done by 5. At 5 I got a phone call to come to the front desk, where I was told that the recall could not be fixed because I had the wrong size battery in my car. While I understand that that is not their fault, it’s pretty ridiculous to me that I made an appointment at 2 pm and my car wasn’t taken back until almost 5 pm, 3 hours later. When the recall could not be fixed, that means I wasted an entire afternoon for no reason. Why have me make an appointment if you aren’t even going to bring my car back for 3 hours? When I brought this up I was told the appointment was just to check in, not to actually bring the car back. I did not feel that the manager I spoke to was very sympathetic even though I was crying and my children were very fussy after having to sit in a car dealership for 3 hours and miss naps. As I was leaving the manager FINALLY offered some kind of help — he said that if I change my battery to call him and he will get me in and out in a hour. I shouldn’t have to ask to speak to a manager and be crying to be taken seriously. I have never had issues with the service/repairs at this dealership until now but reading other reviews made it sound like I’m not the only one who had to wait HOURS past their appointment to even have their car looked at, let alone fixed. Obviously something is not working on the back end here and I did not feel valued or respected, unfortunately. More
