We went to Ocean Cadillac (where we bought our vehicle) on May 21, 2024 for warranty service on the Air Conditioner of our Cadillac XT5. We asked the Service Department to correct an error on the expiratio on May 21, 2024 for warranty service on the Air Conditioner of our Cadillac XT5. We asked the Service Department to correct an error on the expiration date of the warranty. The mileage was not the issue. But we were being shortchanged on the warranty by 4 months. The Ocean Cadillac Service Department passed the buck stating that only Cadillac could correct it. We called Cadillac on June 10th and they redirected us to Ocean Cadillac Dealership and expressed their apologies for having been asked to make that call. The Cadillac representative called the Dealership, while we were still on the line, and told us that Ocean Cadillac would help us. Cadillac connected us to an Ocean Cadillac Service Representative named Kevin. Kevin said that the Finance people were unavailable and that a Manager would call us back. On June 10th, we also informed Cadillac and Ocean Cadillac that we were experiencing a "Check Engine" light and that we had a sense of urgency. Two days later, on June 12th, nobody had called back. We called Ocean Cadillac again, this time we were asked to go in person, since no one in the Finance Department nor the Service Manager were available. Ocean Cadillac is not committed to do this work under warranty. The warranty issue remains unresolved and in the meantime we still have the "Check Engine" light alert. Since it appears that we are not getting anywhere with this problem and we don't know the severity of that "Check Engine" warning, we took our XT5 to our nearest Advance Auto Parts store for a diagnostic reading. A non intrusive test, just a plug-in. Their device is an INNOVA 5210 in brand new condition. The diagnostic result is a Code "P0014" which reads "EXHAUST CAMSHAFT POSITION SYSTEM PERFORMANCE. DTC SEVERITY 2 OF 3. THIS MAY POSE DAMAGE." We are thus unable to use the XT5. We feel that Ocean Cadillac should correct the warranty paperwork, tow the vehicle safely to their dealership and repair our XT5 at no charge. More

Now I’ve tryed to reach him both by text and phone calls but like all service these days there has been no response back from him or anyone from the dealership that’s why I’m leaving a one star review. these dealerships make their money by selling aftermarket warranties in a tire warranty that was sold me is nothing but junk. I’m just trying to get my money back that’s all ,they’re quick to take your money for these products but they will not respond back if you have any problems with these warranty's and by the way, they make 50% of whatever they sell to you so you can probably shop elsewhere and get a better deal on these aftermarket warranties so Franly . Gentlemen generally I don’t write reviews,but in this case I have no other options.July of 2023 I bought a used Escalade sports for this dealership,at the closing I purchased tire warranty from them .Fas case I have no other options.July of 2023 I bought a used Escalade sports for this dealership,at the closing I purchased tire warranty from them .Fast forward to 2024 in January I had a blowout and when I ghost home I had my tire shop that I’ve used for over 30 years check it and they said I needed a new tire so I had them piton a new tire. In may I sent my car in for service and the service guy Orlando saw a newer tire and asked if I had tire warranty,so I checked my paperwork from a year previous and I said yes but there was no contact info on the contract,so he gave me a number for the warranty company.I called them to which they said it was over two months so the wouldn’t cover the tire .Now looking at the contract, there is no information whatsoever on how to get in touch the policy of how long you have or how you go about getting reimbursed. I called the dealership asking for help with this matter talk to a guy and service manager named Jimmy He was no help . Saturday being the end of May after calling multiple people down there and getting nowhere I went down and talk to the finance manager to cancel this policy. He said it would be prorated and that he had to email me the form. I asked if he could fill it out while I was there help me with it at all he said no he would help email me the form which was a five minute video before you get to the form and now they’re looking for notarized copies of odometers all sorts of nonsense so I’m out the $465 for the tire him out the $1100 for the policy from which the dealership makes about 50% when I sell you these policies a buyer beware I left a message with the general manager once again, no callback no one from the company ever calls you back. so I filled out the form now if you want to pay $75 to expedite it from which they will add that to your check you can do that or you can wait 180 days or possibly more to possibly get someone to refund bottom line is no service in the service industry anymore. In this company like many others there’s no service there either. More
