We apologize for the issues you highlighted in your review. We too wish that mail never would get lost since it is us not the postal service that is blamed. The charges for the rental were taken care of by the dealership. The problems you described are not how we want to do business and if these things happened to you they could happen to someone else. We strive to make every transaction as easy as possible for our clients.

Thank you for letting us know about your experience. We strive to make any interaction smooth and easy in every part of the dealership. Your example of spending time to gain knowledge about installing a single part is great. Paying for the expertise of a parts and service person to install those items is the reason that there are additional costs. Computer technicians many times spend only minutes repairing a problem that costs significant amounts of money. Most people either don't have that expertise or don't know where to find it, which is where the dealership, or even the local mom and pop shop come into play to repair vehicles. We apologize that the figures were not clearly communicated to you about the costs involved with buying out the vehicle you had been leasing. There are costs involved to purchase the vehicle off lease which will increase the cost from what the contract residual states. If this break down happened to you it could happen to someone else and that is not how we want to do business. We will look at the process to ensure clear communication of the figures involved in lease buy out.

I understand about parts and labor, and know that paying an expert to install said parts is important and beneficial. That being said, as a business you wanna keep customers, which means that costs should be reasonable and should reflect the work taken to achieve the job. We're not talking about computers, anything under the hood, or even anything under the car. We're talking about a small switch assembly that moves mirrors. The fact that it would cost $200 to change that part is ludicrous. I found the OEM part for $69 plus free shipping; now I understand that prices are usually cheaper online so let's say the part is worth $100. For you to try and justify charging $100 to pop the old one out and put the new one in is a bit overkill, don't you think? What motivation would I have to bring my car to you for more extensive service when that's what you charge for a small job? As far figures not being clearly communicated to me, that is not how I see it. I asked over and over for line by line break downs, or for anyone to even explain all the extra charges to me. No one did so and they either pawned it off on someone else or simply stated that they were fees that always apply in these kinds of transactions. There was no miscommunication, there was only lies and half-truths meant to deceive the customer (me) into paying more money than I should have. Even after I stated repeatedly that I did not want any extras of any kind, I still had to pull it out of Mo, the finance guy, that there was an extra five or six hundred dollar fee for some "theft reimbursement" plan that would give me $5000 to spend at YOUR dealership should my car be stolen. The fee had already been added and it was only because of my incessant questions that it was even discovered that it was included against my knowledge or consent. Your dealership seems to have fostered a culture where the emphasis is making as much money as you can off your customers with as little communication as to how you are slipping in these extra unnecessary, and sometimes exorbitant, amounts of fees (see the previous paragraph). At the end of the day, your employees lied to me in order to get an extra seven to eight hundred dollars out of me by telling me that the price of my car would have been the same no matter where I financed it. Now I know that to be untrue and even your own finance manager told me that it was extra "profit" added to the residual price that I would not have paid had I gone through my bank. That is despicable and like I said before, usually businesses work under the practice of keeping customers, a value your dealership seems to hold as a low priority. I will never come back for as much as a car wash to your establishment, and I will make sure that everyone I know, work with, and come into contact with that asks about my car or about car/lease buyout loan processes knows that your establishment covets the dollar over the customer. Thanks for the apologies and for continuing your dealership's other highly held policy of saying "We apologize" as opposed to reaching out to your customer to try and make things right; another one of those things that usually helps with customer retention, but I'm sure you know that. I do sincerely hope that you will not only "look at the process to ensure clear communication of the figure of involved in lease buyout," but that you will do your part so that people aren't being taken advantage of in your establishment. You can be sure that I will do mine.
