I have been using Oconnor for more than 20 yrs and they are always above and beyond and a good example to GMC dealership, this was an improvement in service we've had in the past.. are always above and beyond and a good example to GMC dealership, this was an improvement in service we've had in the past.. I discovered that i had a leaking gas tank on my 2014 Silverado that i bought new at OConnor GMC. I had it towed to their service center in Augusta Me, about 35 miles away. I told them that i also needed Silverado that i bought new at OConnor GMC. I had it towed to their service center in Augusta Me, about 35 miles away. I told them that i also needed an inspection sticker. They called the next day and told me that the gas tank looks good, but the fuel pump needs to be replaced. Plus brakes all around and 2 new tires. They said it should cost just shy of $2800.00. So i told them to do the work. they called me the next day , said it was all done. Barbara Glidden said i have good news and bad news. The good news is it has a inspection sticker on it. The bad news is it will cost $4351.30.She said they replaced the front brakes, 2rotors, 1 pad kit, then replaced rear brakes, 2 rotors, 1 pad kit, 1 caliper, 1 wheel stud, plus 3 new tires. They never called me about all this extra work, which is $1550.00 extra. So i went up 3 days later and paid for it and told them i would pick it up that night. When i picked the truck up it was shaking and vibrating all the way home. I called them the morning to let them about the shaking and vibrating and they told me to bring it in and they would test drive it. So, i took the truck up the following morning and waited in the waiting room from 10:30 to 5:pm. I asked to talk to the service manager to find out what's going on with the truck. The service manager told me that the tires were slipping in the rims because the wheels were so corroded. I checked with 2 tire service stations and they said that is not possible . Because if the tire slips on the rim it would break the bead and get a flat tire. The service manager told me it took 4 hours to clean the corroded rims First of all, they should have cleaned the corroded rims when they put the new tires on, Secondly, i t does not take 4 hours to clean the rims . It should take about 10 minutes to clean a rim. Then they test drove it again and after that they put on 2 left calipers. Then pass me a bill of $250.40 . He said labor was free. I asked him why somebody didn't test drive it the first time? The manager , Ryan duff told me the guy finished it up kind of late and didn't have time to test drive it. The truck had been sitting in O'Connors yard for 3 days before i picked it up. So the had plenty of time to test drive it. I am upset that he was lying to me about tires slipping on the rims. Ryan duff, and not checking rims for corrosion. Plus not test driving it an d spending 6 1/2 hours waiting in the waiting room when it should have been fixed the first time. I have bought 2 new trucks from O'Connor , but i will never deal with them again. The quality of the service department is not what it used to be. I will let everyone i know how awful this service department is and how awful i was treated and lied to. Daryl Vinal. More
I am very happy with how fast you got me in, that you also took care of open recall’s and that you communicated with me to only do what I wanted. also took care of open recall’s and that you communicated with me to only do what I wanted. More
