We reached a price without a lot stress wish made the transaction very pleasent. I would highly recommend Ian Sweenson and the Boch South Toyota Team as great people to deal with. More
Over the past 30 years most of the cars we have purchased have been Toyotas. Each of these purchases has been a positive experience - the cars has been reliable and the salesperson knowledgeable and helpful. have been Toyotas. Each of these purchases has been a positive experience - the cars has been reliable and the salesperson knowledgeable and helpful. We have never felt pressured. Last weekend we visited BOCH Toyota in North Attleboro, looking for a minivan. After seeing the large size of the vehicles, we changed our minds. Jose Monteiro, a BOCH Sales Consultant, listened to our wants and needs, and came up with the perfect vehicle for us - the Toyota Highlander. We can haul a lot of baggage by simply lowering the second and third rows of seats, or transport seven passengers comfortably and safely. The vehicle has a very smooth ride; and we are delighted with our purchase. Jose Monteiro was especially helpful in additional ways. He returned my call on his day off, he helped us unload our trade-in; he brought his personal truck to our home to retrieve the two seats for the trade-in; and he advised me in how to get a copy of the title for the trade-in through the RMV website. He is a skilled and personable professional; and it was a rewarding and pleasant experience buying a car from him. Marguerite and James Keiper, Attleboro MA More
Went to Boch Toyota just to browse. However, I had the pleasure of working with Jose Montero. He was truly a delight. No nonsense and really knows his stuff. I have been shopping around and had yet to f pleasure of working with Jose Montero. He was truly a delight. No nonsense and really knows his stuff. I have been shopping around and had yet to feel comfortable enough to make the big purchase. I do not know a lot about cars and had never bought from a dealership so it was great working with him because he explains everything and is able to answer all questions, which I had many! I'm ecstatic with my car and with my car buying experience at Boch! More
The quoted price was competitive and the trade-in was average. The main issue was with the sales staff. I went to the dealership one evening to get a price for my trade-in and talk to someone about purchasing the vehicle in person. Although I had spoken to a few people from Internet sales on the phone, I was told none of them were there and Rene LaPaz helped me instead. Getting an appraisal took over 40 min. (At the other 4 dealers I visited it took no more than 15 min) I was not the only one sitting around waiting. Sales people constantly left customers waiting after initially working with them. After waiting for Rene (who spent most of the 40 min standing at the large desk talking to the people behind it) I requested my keys back so I could leave because it was taking too long. Of course, this prompted him to finally give me a price for my trade-in and we started talking about the Rav 4 purchase. At this point, he seemed as if I was wasting his time. Once I informed him I wouldn't purchase a vehicle that day because I needed my husband to sign with me, he informed me there was no point in negotiating with me because I wouldn't buy right then. He also looked at the Internet quote I got through email and dismissed it, saying he can't stand the Internet team because they make unrealistic promises on quotes. He said the price was not fair because they didn't have my exact color in stock and it would be a hassle to go get one. There is a lot more to the conversation, but I will leave it there. I can sum it up by saying the sales team in the store seems disinterested and dismissive. They assumed I was not a serious buyer, even though I drove 45 min to their dealership when someone from the Internet team told me to come in for a price on my trade. The next day I went to two more dealerships and ended up buying the vehicle that evening at a different dealer. Believe it or not, they only gave me slightly more on the trade-in and their price of the vehicle was similar to Boch's quote. (They started much higher but were willing to work with me when they realized I had researched the car and visited 5 other dealers before them.) Most of all, they seemed interested in actually earning my business and were nice, helpful, and willing to listen to my requests. The pricing and Internet people are fine. Unfortunately, once someone actually visits the dealership they find out that the salespeople seem to care less if you buy a car from them or not. Customers are left waiting for close to an hour while the salespeople wander around trying to look busy. They prejudge (and misjudge) who the "serious" customers are and dismiss everyone else. In this case, they were wrong. . More
I have been a customer of Boch Toyota South for many years. In that time, I have purchased four cars as well as referred friends and family there in light of the positive experiences I have had. Unf years. In that time, I have purchased four cars as well as referred friends and family there in light of the positive experiences I have had. Unfortunately, my last bitter encounter has negated any loyalty I may have had towards Boch. I will never do business with Boch again and I will discourage anyone else considering it from doing the same. I went into the dealership on Saturday, May 18, 2013 because my lease was ending and I wanted to get into a new Toyota. I met with John, a salesman, who was very courteous and accommodating. I test drove a 2013 Corolla S. I liked the car very much and John worked with me to get some numbers that I was comfortable with. I would like to reiterate that John was very cooperative and helpful. The situation was marred when the sales manager, Savanh, stepped into the equation and it was his unprofessional attitude and actions that turned the deal sour. Savanh's demeanor was smug and arrogant when he spoke to me. He was condescending and patronizing. He explained credit scores, interest and leasing terms to me in a tone that school teachers use with small children. He treated me as if I had never bought a car before and knew nothing about the process. I was crystal clear about what down-payment and monthly payment I could afford. He acted as if he didn't hear me and used every slimy trick in the book to attempt to lull me into a deal that was outside of my comfort zone or ability to afford. He constantly attempted to spin the deal, utilizing shady terms meant to deceive naive customers, such as "$360 per month doesn't work for you? How about $359?" Later in the negotiation, after I stated that the monthly payment was $30 more than I could afford, he insulted my intelligence by asking, "Well, could you do an extra $1 per day?" What is worse than that is the fact that he kept looking over to my boyfriend for approval or acquiescence, when it was me that was buying the car. My boyfriend had accompanied me to the dealership because we had plans for later in the day and he was not involved in the purchase in any way. It was like a scene from the male-governed 1950's that overlooked and belittled women. I was outraged at the disrespect and contempt he displayed to me, the customer, whose business he was trying to win. The final straw came when Ben, the finance manager, came over to speak to me. He showed every chauvinistic quality of his predecessor, he walked right past me and shook my boyfriend's hand, when it was MY name on the finance application that he was holding. When my boyfriend and I brought that fact to his attention and stated that is ME that is buying the car, he awkwardly, attempted to recover from his gaffe by saying "Well, uh, I want to meet everyone here." It was finally over when, in discussing why I was uncomfortable giving the dealership a $344 first month's payment until I'd given it some though and reviewed my finances, Ben said "Why are we haggling over such a small amount?" This was my monthly car payment he was talking about. If this were such a small amount to me, why would I be working so hard to fit it in my already limited budget? I left, disgusted with the dismissive and irreverent treatment I had received. Boch Toyota South, like any other dealership, spends tens of thousands of dollars on advertising every year to promote them, earn new customers, and retain the business of its current customers. What they have failed to acknowledge is that the most effective form of advertisement is word-of-mouth. Dis-satisfied customers will communicate their negative experience to their friends, family and on internet customer review sites. Not only has that dealership and Toyota lost my business but they will both lose the business of any future customers who will go elsewhere after hearing about my experience and the horrible treatment that I received. I have taken my business to another dealership and to another brand and I am very happy with the deal and the considerate, attentive service I have received there. Boch Toyota South should be ashamed at the behavior of their sales team and Toyota should take the time to see how they are being represented at their dealerships. More
We've never considered owning a Toyota, but after our recent experience at Boch Toyota south, I don't think we will ever go anywhere else. Our salesman Rene LaPaz was exceptional.
