Northtowne Car Dealers Although there are many horror stories dealing with car salespeople and the company they represent I can honestly say that I did NOT experience that i Although there are many horror stories dealing with car salespeople and the company they represent I can honestly say that I did NOT experience that in any way! I was unique in that I knew someone from their Mazda division who ended up selling me a Hyundai. The people who helped me with my transaction were consummate professionals including the finance person who only came across as helpful with some of the extras that can be gotten...but not pushy! Then the people who knew the Hyundai cars better trained me so I would know more about my purchase. So my Mazda salesperson worked hand-in-hand with the Hyundai salesperson. A wonderful experience where the goal of competitors was to make sure the overall experience was a positive one! So one stop at Northtowne will give you a ton of options of different car companies' products. Thank you to Gene Barnett at Mazda who was my main contact, Matt Kornblum who introduced me to the bells and whistles of my Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited and Chris Beavers who took me through all of the paperwork to get the financing that I wanted! More

Buying New! After a lot of preliminary research, my wife and I decided that we were going to buy the 2017 Sonata Hybrid Limited. I was able to work with 3 excelle After a lot of preliminary research, my wife and I decided that we were going to buy the 2017 Sonata Hybrid Limited. I was able to work with 3 excellent people from Northtowne who did all they could to give a great deal as well as an education on how to use the bells and whistles. So a huge shout out to Gene Barnett who took excellent care of us even though his expertise is Mazda. He not only made sure that we got every discount possible but also went to get us a vehicle brought up to his place so we could do a test drive. Anything we needed or were concerned about, Gene took care of us! To make sure all we as well, he passed us over to Matt Kornblum who took time to teach us about the basics of the car and gave us inside pointers not only about the Sonata Hybrid but also some of the extras, like SiriusXM, that can come with the vehicle. And, while one wouldn't usually expect to say this, Christian Beavers who handled the paperwork and has the job of selling you on warranties, etc. was superb. He explained what he was doing, stayed very open and non-confrontational about what he was suggesting and then provided us with the information we needed to be able to say "yes" or "no." At the end of all this hard work, we were VERY satisfied and grateful for those we were able to meet. More

Quick, efficient and honest. A few days prior I sat staring at my car. One I loved quite dearly and yet, I knew it was time. I dreaded the process that was to come. I imagined A few days prior I sat staring at my car. One I loved quite dearly and yet, I knew it was time. I dreaded the process that was to come. I imagined walking into a dealership and sitting through a prolonged sales pitch for something I didn't want, or couldn't afford. I had put off getting something new for over a year. So, grudgingly, I took my husbands hand and off we went. I made sure to time it during the day, expecting to deal with at least a single days worth of a sales spew. My husband remembered a salesman from several years back, and suggested/requested we speak with him. Matt was the kind of person you overlook at first. Not forceful, or aggressive in looks or manner. In fact, he was almost soft spoken. A certain sense of ease generated from his presence. He took us into his office and asked a few direct questions. What was I looking for? What mattered most to me in a car? Each answer he typed into his computer without ever losing the personable contact. Instead of hours, within 20 minutes he had a range of thoughtful options. I was surprised to find he wasn't trying to sell us the most expensive car on the lot. Instead, we worked together to narrow it down to a single favorite. A red sonata sport. He walked us through each amenity the car had and requested I take it for a test drive. I was already sold on the car but he wanted to make sure we would be 100% happy before proceeding. On a side and somewhat related note, it drives sublimely! Keyless entry is supposed to be a convenience feature but it doubles as a safety feature. Nothing scarier than trying to dig out your keys, in the middle of the night. Instead, all I have to do is press a button on the car door, and if the keys are within a certain distance, it unlocks. I digress though. Paper work began. Now, our credit isn't perfect. We have been working on it for a couple of years, but it is still stained with complications, as I imagine most people have to endure. Matt discussed options and went out of his way to run things through so that we had a better chance of getting what we wanted. I never felt pressured. The next morning we drove back. My husband was optimistic, I was pragmatic. I honestly didn't believe it was going to happen. In my mind I was already shuffling through some of the used cars on the lot I should consider. An hour later, I was sitting in my new, red, sonata sport. Sales, finance, and service were all quick, and thoughtful. I would strongly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new car. Particularly if you are tired of the "get as much out of them" mentality that most dealerships have. Northtowne listens to what YOU want. Not what they want to sell you. More
