The service I received did not fix the issue. The driver side mirror does not open and it was supposed to be fixed. Only to not open again the next day. I have to use a hair dryer to heat my mirror to drive my car. This is unacceptable. Also had tires rotated and was told the notice would disappear after driving only it’s still there after two weeks. I’m still waiting for a call from service about replacing my mirror. It is extremely dangerous driving almost had an accident on my way to service center. More

I would like to share my extremely disappointing experience with North Star Kia regarding collision repair work that began in April 2024. Although I had positive conversations with James, the overal experience with North Star Kia regarding collision repair work that began in April 2024. Although I had positive conversations with James, the overall situation felt disingenuous—like a smile in your face but a spit in your food moment. After bringing up my concerns about waiting two months to replace a tailgate and bumper, I was dismissed with the explanation that they were waiting on parts. This struck me as odd because I had found the necessary parts myself, and their delivery time was a maximum of two weeks. It made me wonder if the shop was using aftermarket parts from overseas, which fueled my concerns about the repair process. I had to rent a car through an outside business because, at that time, they did not have courtesy cars available, which cost me $400 since my vehicle was still not ready. When I finally received my car back in early July, I noticed that the fit and finish were subpar, especially given that there was no structural damage to address. I raised my concerns with James, pointing out that the tailgate was bent, the blind spot monitoring system wasn't working, sensors were popping out of place, and the muffler, which was supposed to be replaced with new parts, hadn’t been. After emailing James and others at the dealership about these issues, he contacted me to bring the car back in September. Unfortunately, it ended up sitting for another month, forcing me to use a rental car again. By this time, they had implemented a courtesy car service, giving me some peace of mind that I would receive a vehicle similar in class to my Kia Telluride, their flagship model. I got my car back at the end of November, almost December, and was dismayed to find it dirty when I had dropped it off freshly cleaned and hand-waxed. Although James offered to clean it, I was so frustrated by the long wait that I declined his offer. When we reviewed the repairs, I noticed several overlooked issues, such as the smart tailgate not being checked for functionality and the undercarriage not being resealed from the previous work. Upon returning home, I discovered a quarter-inch scratch on the front right fender, which appeared fresh and likely occurred while the car was in their possession. I took a picture and sent it to James, but I haven’t heard anything back since. If I could upload the picture I would. I am thoroughly dissatisfied with my experience at North Star Kia and cannot recommend this service center or the sales department. It feels like a combination of negligence and a desire to cut corners at the customer's expense. I'm not happy with this dealership I had other work to get done but I'm afraid my car isn't safe their even though its a 2024 telluride ex. More
