BEWARE. I went to this dealership to buy a Subaru Outback Limited either new or less than 2 years old. I was quite literally prepared to buy. I had my totaled current vehicle towed to their yard and then picked up from there. Perfect customer one would think. Yes, the market is crazy at the moment and I was prepared to pay more than I might normally have. I think the only people who would buy from this dealer would have to be stupid. They made no attempt to answer my questions. When I asked for explanations of their trumped-up and excessive fees the salesman essentially said you always pay those fees and didn’t even attempt to explain them. When I said I have bought used Subaru’s before and never paid them he said you probably didn’t know but you did. Did he think I was dumb? Suffice it to say I was lied to. They would not allow me to take the printouts of pricing with me. The Manager Lou said my finance rate for a used car would be 2.9% then handed me a sheet where it was 3.59%. Subaru is offering 48-month financing at 1.9% for this Holiday Weekend on new Outbacks. Not once was that offered to me on any new car I was interested in. No questions were answered honestly or directly. I gave Lou one last chance to give me an honest explanation of fees and financing. He did not. I got up and walked out. I found another dealer in another part of the state who also had fees but was willing to explain them honestly. They were also willing to discuss financing. Guess where I bought my car by phone. I gave this honest salesman and dealer a deposit immediately. All I can say is BEWARE OF NORTH FT LAUDERDALE SUBARU. THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED. This is the truth. I took pictures of the above items. Living out of state, I wasn’t aware that the sticker price wasn’t what we’d be paying. The vehicle went from 10,000 to 18,800. Then got it down to 15,000. Too many added on costs. We have up front prici price wasn’t what we’d be paying. The vehicle went from 10,000 to 18,800. Then got it down to 15,000. Too many added on costs. We have up front pricing so all that remains are licensing and tax. If that’s the way it is at every Florida dealership, I will buy somewhere else. I know I will not be returning here. More
