Bobbie is the consummate sales professi The sales experience that I had from Bobbie Robinson should be a case study taught in a Sales Success Stories. Bobbie is the consummate sales professional. I had all but decided on a top of the line RAM and went to see what Ford had to offer. Bobbie was always setting the benchmark of what the F150 was all about, what the new V6 PowerStroke benefits were in efficiency and longevity and never trash talked the competition. Being a sales person I am very sensitive to the 'car salesman' reputation and am critique sales professionals harshly and quickly for unprofessional and counterproductive efforts. Bobbie did none of the negative and sneaky moves. She upsold me to the Diesel and am blown away with the truck, engine and all the luxury within this vehicle. The only negative I would add and it is nothing to do with my sales person was when finance try and sell the maintenance and warranty extension. I appreciate they are selling but in my mind selling should be kept in the sales side and not finance. I have a hard time when purchasing a $70K truck when someone keeps telling me that 'this truck has a lot that can go wrong with it because of all the nice electronics and other things that it has and these things are extremely expensive to replace and the 5 year / 60K warranty only covers the main engine and powertrain components and not all the gadgets that can break and cost you a fortune'. I am actually going to look into both products to see if there is cost justification but the selling angle that my new truck is going to cost me another fortune to fix when it breaks down is NOT the best selling tactic. This is not a shot at the finance person. She was great, respectful and just doing what she was taught. From a 30 year sales guy - this sales tactics should be changed - quickly and you should consider having the sales professionals do the selling. Keep to your core competencies and stay in your lane. Other than that - I am getting 28 MPG and I really love my truck. Glad I bought the Ford - though the RAM has one heck of a wonderful interior. Ford is catching up and pulled away with the new PowerStroke!. More
