Terrible approach to defective breaks I leased the 2018 Accord EX-L in December 2018, the purchase expensive itself was great. The car was fine until last Saturday 07/20/19. On my way back from LA I started hearing a whistling/ scratching sound in the front breaks as I am applying the breaks, by Wednesday 07/24/19 (basically 4 days later) the sound was so loud and it was continues whether I’m applying the breaks or pressing the gas. I took it to the dealership to check it out, to my surprise, the break pads in the front have 0% left in them and apparently they destroyed the front and the back of the rotors. Honda is insisting that this is a wear and tear and that it is “normal” I tried to get an explanation on how a car that has 12,000 miles on it and is 7 month old from day of purchase completely damage the break pads and rotors? I kept getting the answer “it depends on your driving” I asked several mechanics and even the service advisor at the dealership if they have ever seen anything like this (ALL agreed that this is upnormal). It is common for breaks to be replaced at 40,000 miles, maybe even 30,000 if you are the absolute worst person in managing your breaking. I called customer service and made a claim with them, apparently they are insisting that it’s wear and tear and has nothing to do with them, and they want charge me $600 to replace just the FRONT breaks and rotors. I’m no expert, but driving for so long I know one thing, it is IMPOSSIBLE for the breaks to loose all its life and to be at 0% after 6-7 months of driving and at 12,000 miles. Also these cars have sensors that are designed to warn you when the breaks are about to go bad, the sensor is supposed to whistle for few months as warning that breaks are running low and about to go bad... there is no way that it is “normal” to go from whistling to completely damages in 4 days. I got Honda for its reputation, and I get brand new because I don’t have the time or energy to deal with problems much like this one, I even got the extra protection and pay extra $20 per month to not even worry about the smallest things like a chip or crack or such. I’m very disappointed on how Honda is handling this matter, I’m even more disappointed that they are pointing fingers to me and cannot own to the fact that the breaks are defective. Apparently Honda doesn’t care whether they want to keep their business with their customers or not. All I can say, it’s shameful and disappointing experience. More

Best Car Buying Experience! We made an appointment and got to meet with Renjie Piao. From first moment we walk in, we were greeted with smiles and very welcoming attitudes, envir We made an appointment and got to meet with Renjie Piao. From first moment we walk in, we were greeted with smiles and very welcoming attitudes, environment. Even from other sales persons / workers there. That made us felt even better and more positive assurance that we are in the right place to possibly purchase a car. Renjie got our message about what vehicle we are looking for and the details. From that, he prepared a few options of vehicles that met our criteria, ready for us to try and test drive. Its not long at all for us to make up our mind and choose a car, and honestly, we settled on a price in less than 15 minutes. (I'm not soo sure who did he checked the price we negotiated with, but that person was really fast in responding as well. Good for you and much thank you as well person behind the scenes!!!) Then there was Ryan Lucas at finance department. He was very helpful and informative as well, he explained what was important for us (customer), why we need certain thing and recommended great options as well. He cared more about us than just trying to make a sale (like other normal sales person) Overall, this is the very first time I came to a car dealership and I felt very relaxed and positive. There wasn't any pressure or un-necessary comments or sales "tactics", just a very simple and satisfying car buying transaction. I went a few car dealers before Norm Reeves and they weren't as great. Well, maybe that's putting it too nicely, they we really horrible and just throws you off. And I just have to put this out there, I went to Honda World in Downey the day before and the sales person was actually pleasant to dealt with, its not until he brought his "SALES DIRECTOR" to assist with our negotiation things turn for the worst. And here's a tip for all you "SALES DIRECTOR" out there, we are your customers and you need to treat your customers right and fair. If you cant match our price, just say so, you don't have to tell us that you sell cars and not bicycles, we're not that dumb. (and you might just get a sale). And I apologize for maybe going overboard a little there, but just had to put that out there. But at the end, I am glad that I went to Norm Reeves Honda in West Covina. I got a great vehicle, and awesome service, and a very excelent experience in car buying. Thank you Renjie, Ryan and the rest of the Norm Reeves Honda West Covina team. More
