Once I knew what I did my research prior to deciding on a 2012 Honda Pilot EX-L. This is my third Honda vehicle purchase and my second Honda Pilot. Once I knew what I wanted, I then had to muster up the courage to deal with the car dealership experience many of us have had: it is intimidating and you feel like nobody is giving you a really fair price. I went to many Honda dealers in Southern Cal and even walked out of a few after their service or attitudes felt more like they were doing me a "favor" by selling me a car. I then read the reviews about Norm Reeves Honda Superstore West Covina. I got on the internet and I was quickly called back by my new favorite internet manager-Anson Lam. During our first conversation, I laid out what I wanted and he listened attentively. He didnt try to push other cars on me to buy and he kept in contact for a whole week as we kept checking the lot inventory (during Memorial Weekend and after). Then the exact vehicle I wanted popped up with just a stock picture. I called Anson and he stated the vehicle was not even on the lot yet but he made arrangements for me to see it and take it for a test drive. He respected that I knew a lot about the Honda Pilot and he didnt try ever being condescending. From then on I had the best and smoothest sales experience I have ever had in my 22 years of car shopping. He sped up the process and got the vehicle certified in no time flat. There were no hidden fees after we negotiated the price of the vehicle, just tax and licensing. He introduced me to the general manager John who thanked me for being his customer (when does that ever happen?!)and even the finance guy, James Ponce, the guy we all fear is tallying up crazy charges was great and didnt mind at all that I asked for each number on the contract to be detailed and explained. You gotta go here if you are looking for good deals and outstanding customer attention and service!!! Thanks again Anson Lam!!!!! More

I was tricked by their finance department. I bought a new Honda Civic from this dealer in March 2014. The sales deparment was nice & the price was reasonable. When they sent me to the finance I bought a new Honda Civic from this dealer in March 2014. The sales deparment was nice & the price was reasonable. When they sent me to the finance department to sign the paperworks, the guy I dealt with named Rick Anderson played a trick to me. He offered to sell the bumper to bumper extended wanrranty to me twice & I rejected the offer. When he intended to sell me on the 3rd time, he told me that I just need to pay $9.43 extra each month to the monthly payment. When I heard that amount, I accepted his offered. But when he prepared the sale contract & other paperworks, he also added theft device (alarm system) to the contract without verbally telling me it would cost another $1,500 to the total price. In the same time, he changed my payment term from 60 months to 72 months without telling me. No wonder the monthly payment turned out to be only $9.43 more than the original term I wanted at 60 months. When I found out this a month later, I called my salesmen. He asked me to go visit the finance director in the dealer today. I went there & spoke to him if he could remove the alarm system from my car since I wasn't aware it was in the sale contract. He said there's nothing he could to do for me. Even the gerneral manager came in to his office & listened what's going on, he also can't help me to remove the thing I didn't want to buy. This is really a trick to a loyal customer who went back to buy a 2nd car from the dealer & normally would trust the dealer about the detail in their sale contract. More

They promised us new tires to get the sale. They kept saying that we got a really great deal and we could walk away if we wanted to ($700 below asking is not a amazing deal). Also we bought a "certified" car. This is a joke. You pay a lot more money for a certified car. Several items were checked off on the inspection list but were not correct/working (4 of 6 interior lights out, missing manual, windshield liner messed up, missing cert/warranty papers, glove box light out, etc). Do they even check these cars before they certify them? I guess not. Luckily I am thorough and checked the list and the car. We pointed out the things we noticed to them, said they would fix it and to pick it up 2 days later. Called us in two days to pick it up. Drove all the way out there (3rd time) to pick it up and none of it was fixed. So mad. Also the car was not even clean. Dirt and bug splatter on the car. Said they would fix it and deliver it to us because we said we were NOT driving out there again. Delivered the car a day later than they promised and 2 of the items were still not fixed!! Took the car because we were so sick of dealing with them and just wanted our car. A whole week after signing the paperwork and still not fixed. Horrible. We wanted the certified car for the peace of mind and the extra warranty. I don't really have peace of mind that we paid extra for. But we do like our Pilot and so far there have been no mechanical problems- thank goodness. Hondas are great, dealers are xxxxxxxx. More

Remember this name: OSCAR ACOSTA! We bought a Honda Odyssey and a Civic Hybrid within the past 2 years from this man. He is great! He's not the typical salesperson that will sell you something that you Odyssey and a Civic Hybrid within the past 2 years from this man. He is great! Less then 12k on my 2012 Odyssey and rotors warped. The advisor refused to cover the labor. Mind you, the warped rotors are a known issue on this vehicle (google it yourself).
