Nissan of Elk Grove

I just purchased a new Nissan GTR from Nissan of Elk Grove. I do not live close to the dealership (~ 130 miles away) so all of my initial transactions were through e-mail and phone. John Driebe who is the owner and Manager handled all of my initial phone calls, car price negotiations and communications. I ordered the car prior to launch and so I had to wait ~ 5-months before my car was ready (this was normal - the new GTR was not available until July 08, so all purchasers had to wait for their cars no matter where they purchased the car.). I initially selected Nissan of Elk Grove because of the price and my negotiations with John. Over the course of my months waiting I was glad I selected this dealer. John was great at communicating and updated me frequently with brochures and articles on the car. Best of all, my car was initially scheduled for September 08 and it came in almost 2 months early in the beginning of August 08. Only a few of these cars are available and John also ordered one from Nissan. His came in 1-2 weeks prior to mine and he called me to see if I wanted to come up to visit the dealership and drive his car as I was really looking forward to mine arriving soon. John was on vacation the week my car came in so he handed all of the communication over to his sales manager, AJ Went. AJ was great. He took right over from where John left off. We spoke on the phone a few times the week my car arrived and also communicated via e-mail. As I had to drive in from out of town, AJ arranged to meet me the first thing in the morning on Saturday. He arrived at 8:30 am so that we could get started early. AJ spent a lot of time going over the car with me and in general was great to deal with. Best of all....I rented a car (one-way) from Hertz so that I could drive up to Nissan of Elk Grove and pickup my new car. Since the Hertz store was a few miles away from the Nissan dealership, I was going to have to drop the car off at Hertz and have someone pick me up to take me to the Nissan dealer. Instead, AJ called the Hertz store and worked it out so that he and the Nissan Team could drop off the car later in the day and I did not have to worry about returning the Hertz vehicle at all. $110 to check on the reason for the check engine light coming on...please...way over priced. Then to find out I need a new Catalitic Converter when my car only has 85,000....does not make me very happy. A coming on...please...way over priced. My experience at Nissan of Elk Grove was fantastic. My boyfriend and I went their looking for a car that I saw online. He then came out and told us that the price online was incorrect, but do to the fact that we came out to the dealership for that reason they would honor that price. We took it for a test drive and I really liked the vehicle. He showed us all the features and amenities of the vehicle. Then he took us into his office to fill out paperwork and work on numbers. Eric did the numbers for us, but we still weren't sure if we wanted to purchase that day. So we asked to just look around at other cars. He was very patient and friendly with us even though I was picky and indecisive. I let him know that we probably wouldn't purchase that day. So he told us that he would look around and see what he could find at a great deal that we couldn't walk away from. Let me tell you he did just what he promised. As soon as we saw the 2008 Nissan XTerra that he brought out, we loved the vehicle. He then took us inside and did more numbers. As soon as he let us know the price and the monthly payments. We were sold. Eric did a wonderful job. I had no intentions of purchasing that day, but it was to awesome to pass on, and I do not regret it. I Love the car, the staff and service was excellent. I recommended Nissan of Elk Grove to my parents who are looking to purchase a new vehicle. We really appreciate everything that Eric and the rest of the staff did for us. Working at a Dealership you’d think that when purchasing a car from them. They would assume you know what’s happening so why explain everything or go over the vehicle with you. I purchased a pre-owned Volkswagen from A.J. Went. He went out of his way to learn about the vehicle to be able to explain everything to me and answer all the questions I had. A.J. really surprised me with all the knowledge of the vehicle he had. I would defiantly recommend him to my family and friends or anyone. The vehicle was not perfect at delivery which I knew prior to purchasing, Anita had called me the next day to set up an appointment. I recently took my Maxima to EG Nissan to have them investigate a rattling noise under the car, which ended up being an issue with the catalytic converter. My service advisor was Tina, and not only was she extremely courteous and friendly, but she kept in constant communication with me regarding the diagnosis of the problem and my available options to have the problem fixed. Too often I have experienced service departments that are unfriendly and don't communicate very well, which can be frustrating when one has to spend several hundred dollars for car repairs. As a relatively new Nissan owner, I've found the EG Nissan Service Team to be a cut above others due to their high quality customer service. Tina is a superstar service advisor, and although my repairs were covered under warranty, my experience would still rate the same had I incurred out of pocket costs for the repair work. More

We bought two vehicles from A.J in the past two years. In both cases A.J has been informative and friendly. Also, the cars we bought worked perfectly for our family. We bought a Quest for a family vehicle, and a Passat for a commuter car. Signing the paperwork was hassle-free and fast. I think in both purchases we were in and out within two hours from the time we arrived on the lot to pick which car we wanted to the time we drove off the lot with our cars. Although we are not planning to buy another vehicle for a while, we plan on coming back to A.J and his team in the future. A.J really cares about putting his customers in vehicles that they need, and he really listens to want his customers wants. We took out Quest to Mexico and back with no problems at all, and our Passat is great in gas mileage..in addition to being THE BEST CAR EVER!
