The sales department (Darian) wasn’t pushy and didn’t try and sale us something we weren’t interested in. The finance department was very thorough and answered all our questions. I highly recommend Elk Grove Nissan, Mazda, and Infinity. They are very well ran. More

I went in there with the intent on just looking and researching (because my wife had told me she liked the Pathfinders but I didn't know anything about them). Cecillia was so impressive and pleasant with us especially having our little kids being crazy there. She did her thing and everything worked out for us to leave in a new vehicle that day. Great job! Painful Negotiation In October of 2018 I wanted to buy a 2010 RAV4 Limited from Nissan of Elk Grove. I liked it a lot, but wanted to make sure it was in good mechanical In October of 2018 I wanted to buy a 2010 RAV4 Limited from Nissan of Elk Grove. I liked it a lot, but wanted to make sure it was in good mechanical condition before I bought it, so I proposed that I have a factory-trained technician at my favorite Toyota dealership inspect it before I decided whether to buy it. The sales manager told me that he'd be happy to let my mechanic inspect the car at his dealership. I told him that no mechanic would either consent to come to the dealership or be able to do a thorough inspection of the car even if he did agree to come, and that I wouldn't buy the car if I couldn't take it to my favorite Toyota dealership to get it inspected by a factory-trained technician. The sales manager told me that there were only two ways that I could get the the car inspected that way. Both required me to buy the car before I could get it inspected at the Toyota dealership. The first option was to buy the car and exchange it within five days for another car of equal or greater value if the technician found something wrong with the car and I decided not to buy it. I didn't like that option, because it didn't guarantee me a good car - there was no way to be sure that the dealer had a make and model that was acceptable to me, and even if he did I would have no way to find out whether that car was broken. The second option was to buy the car and pay a fee of $225 for the right to return the car within three days if the Toyota technician found something serious wrong with it, but I'd have to pay a $500 restocking fee when I returned the car. I didn't like that option much either, but the sales manager was willing to lower the price of the car enough to cover both fees. I chose the second option, bought the car for $725 less than the dealer's asking price, and took the car to the Toyota dealership to have it inspected. The technician found defects that would cost about $1400 to correct. All four brakes had been repaired with after-market parts. It would cost about $900 to replace the after-market parts with OEM parts. I'd already noticed that the car vibrated when I braked, so it didn't surprise me that the brakes needed work. There were also two broken connections to the battery that it would cost about $500 to correct. The sleeve protecting one of the cables that connected the battery to the car's electrical system had been eaten through by rodents, and the connection to one of the battery's terminals was damaged. I had two possible courses of action available to me: (1) Return the car and pay a $500 restocking fee, or (2) keep the car and pay $1400 to fix the problems myself. I proposed the following compromise to the sales manager: that I keep the car and he and I split the cost of the repairs - each of us paying half. I would present the invoice containing the technician's description of the repairs and their exact cost to the sales manager, and we would each pay half the amount on the invoice. The dealer's payment could be made through reduction of the balance due for the car or through direct reimbursement. I reasoned that neither of us would have to give up too much in the deal - I would have the car and he would have the sale, but we would both have to give up $700 to make the deal. After a long and painful negotiation the sales manager agreed to the compromise deal. I think the compromise was much more than fair to him, and didn't like it when he kept trying to get more money out of me. I don't remember the name of the sales manager who sold me the car, and don't see it in the list provided below. Whoever he was he ge's the poorest possible performance rating. He was about as unfriendly as anyone I've ever dealt with. More

Front Counter, a quick response to the needs of the client intent on looking at choices of cars that may be compared to similar models at other dealerships. She called out..... Its been 43 yrs. since Buying new! So what was important to me is not a salesman asking what car I want to purchase but what cars I have in my mind to later take those mental notations, brochures where possible, and (pictures of the MSRP that lists all the "stuff inside/outside the car.") 2. Salesman/Jay is a very good salesman who laid out the facts of the 2018 Rogue's (year I was interested in buying) attributes and did a test drive showing Rogue's features that made me lean toward buying the Rogue. I first test drove a Subaru Outback LTD, a Toyota RAV4 , and lastly, the Rogue with Jay toward closing; I do appreciate his time and Jay DID AN EXCELLENT OVERVIEW OF ALL THE "BUTTONS, CAPABILITIES, etc. that make the Rogue unique. I mentioned that I liked his speed of delivery( I knowing that his time and my time is valuable and he's covering the capabilities of the Rogue so I can better evaluate the "physical experience" over a bunch of words on paper. I left with a very good impression of a salesman for your dealership for the future who will sell many more cars for you by virtue of his interpersonal skills to relate not only to the customer but also the customer to the car I was thinking of comparing to others and possibly purchasing. In closing, its been 43 years, technology is in the forefront of new cars, and I needed to spend my time researching, examining car features, making comparisons and making a decision on 'one' car that will take me into the future...I ended up not choosing a 2018 Rogue.....Thank you for the Nissen experience!
