Took my 2008 Infiniti in today to the Nissan dealership in Franklin TN…right in the shadow of Nissans headquarters. The car had the leaking sunroof that plagues many Nissans. I fixed the sunroof leak, but the BCM had gotten wet and after drying, a few problems remained. 3 power windows don’t work, power door locks not working and battery has slow drain. The service tech said it would be $149 to diagnose each problem, or about $600 just for the diagnosis. I told the service guy that was ridiculous and he said it’s just like a doctor diagnosing a problem. I said the doc doesn’t charge for each body part he examines. This guy also said the BCM wouldn’t cause the battery to drain…when it’s a very common symptom of a faulty BCM. So, I get on the phone with Mark Hepler the dealer Operations Director and he talks to me like I’m 2 years old. He explains that they have to diagnose all 3 windows, pulling door panels, blah blah. I said all 3 power windows wouldn’t go out at exactly the same time, and this guy proceeds to tell me that he’s seen that happen several times with Muranos and Rogues and several models having all power window motors fail at the same time!? So, the Operations Manager at the Nissan dealership right down the street from Nissan’s North American HQ is either lying or he’s telling me that their car power windows are crap and all of them fail more frequently than any car manufacturer should allow. And he defends their policy of charging $149 for each item they diagnose. He did offer to “only” charge me $300 for 2 hours of diagnosis. All I can say is I have owned 5 Nissans or Infinitis, but no more. Just search “sunroof leaks”, “power windows not working”, or “Nissan engine sludge problems”. Save yourself the trouble. Stay away from this dealership and stay away from Nissans and Infiniti’s. More

Reluctantly (I generally dislike going to dealerships), I called and Sheyenne had answered. Sheyenne is personable, yet professional. She got us an appointment with Cam who was more interested in getting us into the right car for us, instead of the best deal for him. When we decided on the Rogue, the next team member on our journey was Chase. He worked with us to get an excellent rate, and a payment we could live with. It is definitely worth the drive. More
