Our salesman Shawn was knowledgeable of the product inside and out and had a great personality. The manager Richard was great to work with and gave us a fantastic deal in no time, and again had a great personality. Scott in financing was also outstanding to work and guess what, a great guy. All these guys get a 10 in customer service and in their overall attitude/personality in our car buying interaction with the dealership. We have been to other dealers looking at Jeeps, but these guys were just better at what they do. If your in the market for a new ride and would like to actually enjoy your car shopping/buying experience, then stop in at Newport Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep. More

Excellent Experience! The way car buying should be! I was in town visiting my family and decided it was a great time to have a new jeep! I have purchased several cars and it has always been a painful e I was in town visiting my family and decided it was a great time to have a new jeep! I have purchased several cars and it has always been a painful experience. This was not the case with Newport Jeep! The staff including my sales consultant John to the new sales manager Richie was friendly and answered my questions directly rather than "beating around the bush". I was given straightforward pricing and every question (including financing) I had was answered honestly and thoroughly. Jeanne was able to offer me a very competitive rate without the hassle of going through my own bank. There have been times in the past where I have become annoyed with my car buying experience and would leave the dealership angry or without a car. Car buying should be a happy event and not one that leaves you mad. The owner Robert, even came out to thank me for my business. I left with a smile on my face and more importantly, a new Jeep! Don't expect them to go beyond 'being busy' I have had my car worked on several times at Clare with acceptable results. I live in CT and work in Newport, so it just made sense. Today my car would not start after I drove to work. I called and asked if there was anyway that someone could take a look at it to see what the problem was. The reponse I got was "sorry we are too busy". I asked if they had a provision for emergencies such as this given that I have no way to get home to CT, and I got a non- answer, but the earliiest they could help me was 3 days from now. I get that they are busy, but as is the case with my customers, I have never run across a service business who could not squeeze in 30 minutes to at least troubleshoot a problem for a customer. I do know that I will not have 30 minutes to look at any new cars at Clare that I might be interested in purchasing. More
Service Dept I brought my Jeep in for service due to a non retracting shock issue. I was called by Stephanie the service manager and was told my jeep was all set, I brought my Jeep in for service due to a non retracting shock issue. I was called by Stephanie the service manager and was told my jeep was all set, but goes then tells me that they have to order a new shock for me, not only did she have an attitude, but when I asked her if the jeep was drivable she replies "well I didn't drive the jeep so I have to ask the technician" well if your calling me to tell me the jeep is all set do you think they would make sure the jeep is in working condition? I then tell her how I personally think that it is not safe to drive and she replies "well you can leave it here if you want" I do not think she is smart enough to think that by letting me take the vehicle it could be a hazard and it would be a liability on Clare for being incompetent about the safety of taking a vehicle back if the ability to drive it was unsafe. I have never had to deal with such horrible service. I was utterly shocked that I even received a call. I see all the bad reviews and now I actually believe it. I would tell everyone to please rethink about buying or getting your car serviced there. You could end up in a very bad accident for the incompetency of there knowledge or work being performed. Buyer Beware...shop somewhere else! BUYER BEWARE – Clare Newport Dodge, Chrysler & Jeep of Middleton, Rhode Island sold us a 2008 used Jeep with a broken starter and a battery that would BUYER BEWARE – Clare Newport Dodge, Chrysler & Jeep of Middleton, Rhode Island sold us a 2008 used Jeep with a broken starter and a battery that wouldn’t hold a charge. Within 24 hours of owning this vehicle it started giving us problems and wouldn’t start. They refused to take responsibility for the issues or cover the repair costs. The owner, Kevin Clare should not be allowed to sell cars. He clearly doesn’t have integrity or value his customers and certainly lives up to the stereotype of a dishonest used car salesman. Save your money and shop elsewhere!!!! More

I was driving p After having a long day with no deal at an out of state dealership, I decided to just drive my Jeep Wrangler to Florida and buy there. I was driving pass Clare and noticed the large amount of Jeep Wranglers on the lot. That night I reviewed the inventory online and found the Jeep I was looking for. I sent an E-mail and received a quick response and made an appointment to visit the dealership and see the vehicle. At the dealership I was introduced to Tiffany and she turned me over to Mike. Mike treated me with courtesy and showed professionalism in helping me identify the Wrangler that fit my needs. I was introduced to Kevin Clare, and Robert Campellone, both made me feel comfortable and were sincere. I received a fair price for my trade and new Wrangler. I made Mike aware that I would be installing a Kongo Rack on the Jeep and they had one in the service area and included it installed as part of my package. I would have no problems recommending Clare as my dealership of choice on and around Aquidneck Island. My thanks also to Peter (Finance Manager), and the Sales Manager . R/ Dennis Dorando More

What I did notice that everyone was very helpful and friendly, even the random staff that didn't directly have to deal with us. They gave a us a great price and the next day the financial manager informed me he found a better program and my payment actually came down another $6. Hey, every little bit counts. They made an arduous process a little easier and did I mention they gave me more than double what Toyota offered for my trade in (which was a Toyota!) More

I got the vehicle I wanted a few years newer for the right price and no funny business! My salesman and the finance guy stayed well after they closed to get the job done and they certainly delivered! I came back the next day to pick up the vehicle it was impecibly clean smelled beautiful and was ready to go when I got there. This delearship went above and beyond for me and I truly appreciate it. Barbara the sales manager also was fantastic in making sure I was satisfied and comfortable with the sale. More
