I even met the mechanic who was working on my car because he wanted me to describe to him the strange noise i occasionally heard in my car. Although he was not able to make the car do the sound , I felt better that he checked everything over. I feel safer now. More
Service experience I went in for an oil change and tire rotation, etc. I gave them an average rating because they spilled oil on my truck and didn't clean it up. This i I went in for an oil change and tire rotation, etc. I gave them an average rating because they spilled oil on my truck and didn't clean it up. This is the second time my truck has been returned to me with oil or grease on it. Last time they got grease on the interior plastic and it was extremely hard to get off of the plastic. I know the techs are busy, but I want my truck treated like I did an oil change. Any spills clean it up !!!! Customer service was excellent, no complaints. Price is average. More

Very disappointed Service at Newark Toyota World Service Department has gone downhill lately. I've been servicing my car at this dealership for over 4 years now (I'm on Service at Newark Toyota World Service Department has gone downhill lately. I've been servicing my car at this dealership for over 4 years now (I'm on my 2nd Toyota bought from NTW) and not until this year have I been so disappointed with the customer service. It almost seems like since the new (very nice!) waiting area was built, customer service has suffered. In particular, I've been paired with unfriendly Service "Advisors," experienced long wait times, and a lack of communication. My last two visits consisted of first, a tire patch (with an appointment) which took over an hour. This last time, it was a routine oil change/tire rotation/inspection and a second tire patch (with an appointment) which took over 90 minutes. The second tire patch was due to the first one leaking air...thankfully they didn't charge me for the second one. This most recent appointment, after 90 minutes had passed, I asked the receptionist for an update on my car and she directed me to James Baldus (my previous advisor's shift had ended and James took over). Without a hello, or even looking at me, James promptly told me he had called my name but I didn't answer. I told him I was using the bathroom. He then said to another employee, "You know what, she's just a no charge, you can check her out and her car's right there" handed her my papers and walked away. This female employee asked me to sign off on everything and I said, "What happened with the tire?" she had no clue, so she just read the tech's note about the repatch off the invoice for me. My "Service Advisor" didn't think he needed to take the time to explain what was done to my car, what ended up happening with the tire, nothing. I was left to just read everything myself on the invoice. What if I had questions??? I even saw that "may require attention" was checked off for a couple things on the inspection report, and he didn't go over that with me. I honestly felt like because I was receiving free maintenance (thanks to Toyota Care) that I didn't matter as a customer. During my 90 minute wait (with no updates, by the way), I overheard another Service Advisor, Henry, setting a great example by actually talking to his clients, explaining everything that was done to their car, even offering a car wash voucher. I got the second tier treatment and even though I have another free service remaining on my plan, I'm seriously contemplating going elsewhere for my 25,000 mile service. More

Horrible Service Called to get a price for getting my ECM re-programmed due to some lights on my dash. Found a post on priuschat forum with the EXACT issue and error c Called to get a price for getting my ECM re-programmed due to some lights on my dash. Found a post on priuschat forum with the EXACT issue and error codes my car is throwing and a re-program solved the problem. Anyway I was told it would be $120 for the re-program and I agreed to that and scheduled the service. When I got there, I was advised to do a diagnostics first, which is also $120? I remember last time it was only $75 for a diagnostic. Anyway, I asked if the diagnostics said the ECM needs re-programming if I would have to pay another $120... they said yes. I declined the diagnostics and told them to just do the re-programming. Got a call about an hour later that they can't reprogram the ECM because there are no updates and I should do the diagnostics to figure why the light on my cars are on. I was told I can either do the diagnostics or come pick up my car, I chose to pick my car up. The problem here is that, I was told they can re-program my car for $120. I showed up, and they want to force me to do a diagnostics. Because I refused to have a diagnostics done, they don't want to re-program me ECM, despite them saying they can do it. Apparently they don't know what the word re-program means. This isn't the first time that these guys try to rip me off, but since I was sent a link to fill out a survey, I thought it's time to leave my feedback. More

When the Bill came it was significantly higher, but the clerk "credited" me for the difference. -1 for not knowing the pricing of their products, +1 for standing behind their error on the quote. The so called "vehicle check" failed to catch a broken catch on a wiper blade (which I was aware of when I went in and the clip was sticking up in the air), which tells me all they really did was "check the box" on the form. What else did they not really check and just "checked the box" on the form? It makes you wonder. -1 More
