Had an excellent experience and felt like they cared! I came to the dealership ready to fight off dealers with a stick and get the price I wanted for the car I wanted. Me and my girlfriend got out of our I came to the dealership ready to fight off dealers with a stick and get the price I wanted for the car I wanted. Me and my girlfriend got out of our car and were greeted by Robert Corbett and immediately we felt we were in good hands. He knew just about everything we needed to know about each of the cars that we test drove, and we went on a lot of test drives. He was so patient, we tried a golf then said maybe a Jetta then maybe a different golf and then maybe a different Jetta but maybe not that color. We talked to them about price and payments and they did just about anything they could to get what we wanted. It was an all around great experience. Robert has kept in contact with me asking how the car is going and if I had any questions. I highly recommend Neil Huffman. More

I went to purchase a VW 2013 Passat. On the website and carfax, milage stated was 7729. when I got to the dealership, the mileage was 9700! the person helping me was brand new and only working there thre carfax, milage stated was 7729. when I got to the dealership, the mileage was 9700! the person helping me was brand new and only working there three months. She couldn't tell me why the milage was inacurate. I also asked for the name and number of previous owner. She tells me she cant do that. I tell her it's the law. She responds, In Florida? Um, no. We are in Kentucky. She goes to her GM and comes back out less than two minutes that the previous owner does not wish to be contacted, and that he has cancer and has moved to Florida. She also goes on to tell me that they bought back the vehicle from the previous owner because of his condition. I am still trying to get why the mileage is close to 10,000 and not what was on the internet and carfax. I look in the cars nav system and I see an address for Alabama. Another sales person comes out to help her and he goes on to say the previous owner had family or a friend in Ariziona. I mention about the mileage again and he cuts me off telling me he had a lady last week come in with a vw trade with over 28,000 miles on it. And the car i'm looking at is practically brand new. Um, no it's not. It is used with a previous owner that owned it for a month an a half and put over 7000 miles on it then sold it back, or whatever. The guy saleman says to the person helping me, show her the new cars, they are only 5000 - 6000 dollars more. Again, no. I am in the marked for a used car, not new. So I decide to make an offer. $19,000 cash out the door. My offer is not accepted, and that is fine. I assumed I would have received a counter offer, but I did not. I am giving this review because I felt this was poor customer service all the way around. I research large purchases, and came in with the knowledge I needed to buy the car. I don't appreciate the way I was treated. More
My husband and I were upside down over $7000 in a vehicle that got about 12 miles to the gallon, and with seemingly no end in rising gas prices, we had to get out. THey presented us with a lease option, whic that got about 12 miles to the gallon, and with seemingly no end in rising gas prices, we had to get out. THey presented us with a lease option, which we always thought you had to have stellar credit (which ours is not) to even be able to do, along with $2000-3000 due at signing. They told us no, this was not always the case. I would've rather had a 3 year lease instead of a 4, and would've rather the payment been about $40-50 less per month, but they were able to get us in a brand new 2013 Passat for $62/mo more than what we were paying on a 7 yr old vehicle, and not to mention having a 5 cyl vs. a v8 hemi was going to make a world of difference in gas expense. THey were also able to do this with NO MONEY DOWN, 3 yrs of free oil changes and tire rotations, and excellent customer service. Big Mo is a trip and an all around nice guy, with a better personality than most car dealers I've ever met (and I've met a lot!)Granted, we will pay out a lot of money in 4 yrs and have nothing to show for it in the end, but I am ok with that. I change vehicles every 3 yrs on the average anyway. So by the time I'm done with this lease, I will be free to by whatever I want with no trade, but no negative equity either, while in the meantime driving a $26,000 car. A local dealership wasn't even able to do anything for us, even if we were willing to pay 600 or 700 a month, they didn't have one vehicle that would take our negative (so they said) and couldn't even offer us a deal. Instead we drove 45 mins from where we live to go to Neil Huffman, and we now have a beautiful car. We also did not get bombarded by overbearing salesmen upon arrival at the place, which was a great thing. I would definitely recommend this place. And ask for Big Mo!) More
I was looking for a dependable car at a great price with no salesman pressure and I found it at Neil Huffman. They went out of the way to help me secure the best financing and recommended an extended service contract for the 2009 Mercedes I purchased. I'm extremely grateful for their assistance because two mon financing and recommended an extended service contract for the 2009 Mercedes I purchased. I'm extremely grateful for their assistance because two months after I purchased the vehicle, the power steering pump failed on the vehicle, which would have cost me over $1000 if I didn't have the extended service contract. End result, $100 deductible and the local Mercedes Benz dealership fixed my vehicle. Thanks Neil Huffman, you guys are the greatest!! More
I give one star across the board because rating does not allow a zero star rating. My vehicle was serviced under warranty at this location. The techs marked all "ok" on inspection sheet. After leaving, a ti allow a zero star rating. My vehicle was serviced under warranty at this location. The techs marked all "ok" on inspection sheet. After leaving, a tire was still losing air and a wiper blade had not been replaced. I now have to wonder if anything else they say was "ok" is not actually "ok". More
If it were possible to rate Neil Huffman VW in the negative, I would absolutely do so. My actual buying experience wasn't absolutely awful, particularly because the price was right. I bought a car t negative, I would absolutely do so. My actual buying experience wasn't absolutely awful, particularly because the price was right. I bought a car that had recently come in on a dealer trade and it was a model year end car. Basically it was the last 2011 left on the lot and they had no more coming. I ended up getting the car, which was a top end model for about $1,000 less than Bachman would sell me a base model for. As far as price, I have no complaints. My issue came when I called my loan servicing company about two months after purchase. I decided to call and ask some specifics about the terms of the loan. I'm not an idiot; I had asked all these questions of my salesperson and the finance manager. For whatever reason, I just had the urge to ask the same questions directly to the lender. Of specific importance to me was whether or not there was an early payoff penalty. I asked this question directly to Mario (finance manager) and Aric, my salesman. Both of them flatly told me there was absolutely no early payoff penalty. Of course, when I called the lender, they told me there was indeed a early payoff penalty, amounting to about half my regular monthly payment. This by no means would have been a deal breaker if I had been dealt with honestly and told the truth. However, because I was blatantly lied to, it became a deal breaker. I also shopped at Bachman and honestly wish that I'd spent the extra change at Bachman. I will never, under any circumstances take my VW to Neil Huffman for service and have exclusively used Bachman for service since purchasing the car. I will continue to do so as long as I live in Louisville. Bachman has been nothing but friendly, accomodating and eager to help. I can't say enough bad things about Neil Huffman VW. I called multiple times to get some answers as to why I was lied to and of course never got a return phone call. More
