Do not trust Roger Bird! We came in to look for a use car to buy, and at first, the encounter was great. He asked what is it price range we are looking for. To which we replied "5,000 to 10,000." We looked a to buy, and at first, the encounter was great. He asked what is it price range we are looking for. To which we replied "5,000 to 10,000." We looked at the first car which he introduce to us. It was an older car, but not what we were looking for, so we went and took a look at another one. We saw a car that was priced about 12,000 dollars. Not too far from our quota. We had just started to ask him. "what is the price of this vehicle?" He then quickly "NO,NO,NO! This is not what you're looking for! You can't afford it!" Honestly, if people that rate him that highly, then I don't think that you've seen his bad side. I don't think that Subaru is bad at all, but this guy should get fire for what he said to his customers. I don't know if it's the fact that we were driving our old car into the dealership or other reasons that made him do what he did, but I think what he did was completely wrong. The Acura next door has excellent service, and I think that you would be better going to that one. More
I had a great experience at Nate Wade Subaru. Nick helped me find the perfect car with the exact specifications I wanted. I was able to test drive it and he showed me how to use the instrumentation and adjus me find the perfect car with the exact specifications I wanted. We told him upfront what our plans were and I felt like he dealt with us in the same honest way. I didn't feel like I was just another sale to him. He worked hard to make it fair for all parties. I had thoroughly researched the car and I knew what a fair price was and I had no problem with the price I was given. I still had to make sure I was ready to buy the car so I needed a couple of minutes to decide, I asked what time he got off and he said 5, it was already 5:30. He didn't rush me at all even though he was suppose to already go home. When I did decide to buy the car he stayed while the financing part was completed and then proceeded to make sure that I was comfortable with my new car and ready to drive home. He didn't leave until I did, which was at 8:30. He was a great person to buy a car from. I will refer anyone interested in buying a Subaru to him and this dealership. I also had a great experience with Paul Burt. He was friendly and professional. He explained all of the options very clearly and he answered and invited any questions that I had. I didn't feel like he pressured me at all, he just explained what I could purchase and why I should. When I decided what to do he didn't try to talk me into anything else. He respected my decisions and was very nice to deal with. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Nate Wade Subaru. This was my first car buying experience. I love Subarus and I will be returning for any future purchases and will tell everyone interested to come to Nate Wade Subaru. Thank you! More
Mario was awesome. Though he tried to up-sell me to another car he was very quick to listen and react to what I had to say regarding the car I was interested in. I have been shopping around for a Subaru for about a year now. I have done my research and knew what I wanted. I contacted Nate Wade Subaru about two weeks ago about a used Subaru and it sold before I could get there, I then contacted about another used Subaru and it also sold before I could get there. I live an hour and a half away and I have two little girls so it makes it hard to get down there. I spoke with Gentry and he was amazing. He kept me up to date on these cars so I wasn't making the drive for nothing. He found me a new car and made it work for me to try another car I loved (and bought). He went above and beyond to help when I got there. Helped with my kids and car seats. He had my car appraised by time I was done test driving and made everything quick and painless. My last car was a Honda. Loved the last dealership because it was low pressure and no sales tactics that really turn me off buying a new car. I decided to try several different dealerships looking for that new car. One of my stops was at Nate Wade Subaru. Mario Tonel was on the grounds when my husband and I started looking around. He was informative, helpful and gave me the same low pressure "because the cars sell themselves" approach. When it came time to pick my car and buy it, we looked Mario up again and worked with him to select it. The whole experience was great. The open house they hold once a month for new buyers was a first for me. Loved it. My first 5,000 mile service went exactly the way they said it would. No appointment, just drove up dropped off, waited about 15 minutes and I was out of there again. Great service. I had my last car for 14 years and hope to have my subaru longer. More
