Probably one of the worst dealership experiences I have ever had. The only silver lining is Chase, our sales guy, was great to work and talk with during the process. The Napleton family, group…whoever they ever had. The only silver lining is Chase, our sales guy, was great to work and talk with during the process. The Napleton family, group…whoever they are immediately, tried to slap an $1,800 fee on top of the advertised price of the car. That is a complete slap in the face to the customer, and cause me to lose any trust I may have had in the dealer. It took hours just to get the price back to the listed price online. Just when we thought they couldn’t get anymore sleazy, the dealer absolutely screwed us over on the interest rate. We agreed to finance with them in order to make a deal. The best rate they quoted, after sending to three banks, was over 8 percent. I called that same bank, and they quoted 5.9 percent for the exact same loan. This dealer slapped over 2 percent on top of the loan, claiming it was the best they could do. Will NOT be keeping my loan with them. Overall just a terrible experience and will NEVER buy a car from the Napleton’s again. More
I have been through the car-buying process many times, some decent experiences, others less than awful. However, my experience through Palatine Mazda was unmatched in terms of service, speed, expertise, some decent experiences, others less than awful. However, my experience through Palatine Mazda was unmatched in terms of service, speed, expertise, and human decency during the entire exchange. I mainly worked with Rigo, but I did interact with many others there who shared Rigo’s professionalism, enthusiasm, and knowledge. Rigo went above and beyond to take exceptional care of me during the entire process and was even cordial with all of my indecisiveness. Initially, Rigo wrote up a sale for a CX-50 Preferred, then looked into finding a CX-50 Turbo, and then finally closed on a CX-5 Turbo. They gave me above competitors' pricing for my trade-in and did not try to finagle down the price. I was in and out in less than two hours, which when compared to previous experiences at other dealerships, that time was unmatched. I have spent four to six hours in past dealerships where they use tactics to wear you down so you are more susceptible to accepting a less financially appealing offer. When the car was mine and I was ready to leave, Rigo sat with me in the passenger seat and went through every feature that the car had to offer, in a manner that wasn’t rushed, but extremely informative. He helped me connect my Bluetooth and Mazda app to my car and walked me through the functions of both. To top it all off, Rigo did all of this on his day off, after he had a wisdom tooth removed. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new/used Mazda that wants to avoid all the hustle and bustle that is stereotypical of the car-buying experience. 11/10, would buy another car there again. At first I ordered cx5 premium but I got a call that because of the shortages Buying process was excellent. I was working with Frank W. and Carlos. At first I ordered cx5 premium but I got a call that because of the shortages of chips they don't put power liftgate and Bose speakers which is a must for me. Frank W. and Carlos they went above and beyond and found for me Cx5 Premium Plus and I couldn't be more happier .I purchased few cars at that dealership and I always had great buying experience. I would recommend that dealership to anyone. Thank You so much for my beautiful car. More

Really bad experience that my wife and I had , went there for service for my vehicle, after that I stop by one of the finances managers offices to ask about refinancing, they said they could help me, I said for service for my vehicle, after that I stop by one of the finances managers offices to ask about refinancing, they said they could help me, I said sweet; after spending 6 hours and they showing me cars that my wife and I liked they come out with saying that they couldn't help me! My only disappointment is not that they couldn't help me is that we wasted our whole afternoon there it was just a simple question I had but they make me wait and offering new vehicles having my wife being all excited for a new car and all of the sudden they come out with not being able to help us! Very disappointed! More
I had a horrible experience here. I looked at 3 separate cars, and none of them would start. On the fourth car, the steering wheel was locked, the salesperson said it might just have to run for a little whi cars, and none of them would start. On the fourth car, the steering wheel was locked, the salesperson said it might just have to run for a little while, as he flew around the parking lot with the wheel locking back into place. Felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. The salesperson didn't know much about the cars. When I asked questions, they said they didn't know and didn't offer to even follow up. Really unfortunate that this was my experience. Will never be going back. More
I really wish that Dealer Rater allowed the ability to give a zero-star rating. Napleton's Palatine Mazda would barely qualify for that rating based on my experience. I had a very unfavorable experie give a zero-star rating. Napleton's Palatine Mazda would barely qualify for that rating based on my experience. I had a very unfavorable experience at Napleton's Palatine Mazda located in Palatine, Illinois. Avoid this dealership and salesperson, Frank Gomez at all costs! I called in to schedule a test drive for a certified pre owned vehicle, and was told that I'd be assigned a salesperson when I arrived. I was met by Frank Gomez who initially grabbed the wrong set of keys for the car. No big deal, right? The process of getting my license copied, insurance confirmed and locating the car took about 30 minutes. During this time Frank asked me on three occasions what my name was, despite us going over this detail when he initially greeted me. He also asked multiple times if would be trading in anything, which I had also answered twice for him as well. I thought about writing these details on a card to hand to him for reference, but just felt bad for the guy. Maybe he has early onset dementia or Alzheimer’s. At this point I was just ready to take the test drive. From my past experiences with other dealerships, I've been in the car and driving in just 5-10 minutes, not the case at this dealer. Frank then proceeded to tell me that because this is a Mazda certified pre owned vehicle that they are charging an additional $1,500 over the advertised price of the vehicle. Before I even stepped foot into the car for my test drive, Napleton's was playing dirty games with the pricing. I told him to work on getting that removed while I was out on my test drive. When I arrived back, I had to continue to press to get the vehicle pricing back down to what was shown on their website. Not ideal at all, and very annoying to start the negotiating process $1,500 higher than anticipated. During negotiations, Frank and used car sales manager, Carlos Lara wanted more than the car was worth so I left. Unfortunately it doesn’t end there. During my phone conversations with Frank he often promised that he would call me back when I requested information. He did not, and instead went radio-silent on me despite my additional attempts to follow up. Avoid this dealership, and especially salesperson, Frank Gomez. Napelton likes to play games. More
Under new ownership this particular Mazda has gone through the transformation and it is not always to the good. There is a core former Roto Mazda sales team that I do respect - all nice people I have through the transformation and it is not always to the good. There is a core former Roto Mazda sales team that I do respect - all nice people I have nothing but respect for them as somebody who has been their customer for nearly 20 years and also buying new cars from them. However the service department is not focusing on the customer satisfaction at all. Let me explain what I mean. My car is 2014 Mazda 6 with very low mileage which I just serviced and I was told that there is oil seepage from the engine oil pressure switch. Now, there was a bulletin where Mazda has admitted that the switch was not designed properly but that is not an issue. The quote was 579.71+tax and all it is a valve cover removal to replace it. I called Mazda Corp and they said they would help me out but my dealer has to contact them directly and opened a case number. So I called my deal and told them about it. Initially they said no problem and they are contacting Mazda which was a lie. a few weeks later the service manager sent me an e-mail and basically was pointing out that I refused service on brakes at some point and he was unwilling to help. I asked that what does that have to do with this particular inquiry. Then his sent one more e-mail saying that he is sorry but the goodwill is 7 years and that is it - I replied back and even said that I will pay for everything if it is a reasonable cost but he never replied. What is reasonable cost - well according to Mazda this job requires .4hr and even at 100/hour it does not amount to anything close to the quoted repair cost. The cost of the part is about $33 and it is recommended that the valve cover gasket is replaced as well which is about $30 which won't take that much additional time. So I won't recommend this dealer after 20 years of relationship. More
