I had never wired that much money across the country for a car I had never seen in person and I was a little nervous; not helped by my bank branch manager questioning my decision to do so.I was told by Robbie it might take a few days after receiving the funds for the car once posted online for a transport co to pick it up. I was getting more nervous. Robbie then contacted another transport company on his own, the car was delivered inside 1 day and the transport fee ended up bout $250 less than quoted. I was impressed and I would recommend Downers Grove Saab to anyone. Best Regards Paul More

My experience with Downers Grove Saab was outstanding. From my salesperson, to the sales manager, to the credit manager, and now to the service manager. The buying process was easy and painless; they did what I asked and made it happen. Now that I'm an owner the service department is taking good care of me also, and the Saab extended warranty is was my deciding factor. I would recommend them to anyone! More
My experience with Saab Downers Grove was perfect from beginning to end. Jose Perez, Mike Simon, Dave & Joel were all very professional, knowledgeable, and held customer service as their number 1 priorit beginning to end. Jose Perez, Mike Simon, Dave & Joel were all very professional, knowledgeable, and held customer service as their number 1 priority. I found the car on ebaymotors and was very impressed how quickly I was able to close a great deal. I flew in from Maryland, completed the paper work and drove off completely satisfied. The car looked even better than the pictures on the internet, which were high quality photos. The new management team brings the joy back to the car buying experience. I've already received all of my MVA paperwork (within a week, record time). I recommend this dealership to anyone, and will look at them again when I'm ready to purchase my next vehicle. More
In January 2009, I traded in my 2004 BMW 525i and purchased a 2006 Audi A6 from Saab Downer's Grove. Once the deal was inked, I assumed that Audi would seamlessly handle the payoff of my trade-in and I would go about my business and enjoy my new Audi. I have never made a more incorrect assumption!! Here it is in May and I have been paying on my new Audi for several months, which is financed through a credit union (so, of course, Saab Downer's Grove has already received the full check for this). By the way, Saab Downer's Grove sold my BMW about a couple weeks after I traded it in and they don't even have the title!! They did send a check for my BMW pay-off; however, the check was not able to be processed. I have been diligently trying to contact them for the past 2 months on a daily basis with little to no response. So, as it currently stands, my credit is continuing to take a hit because of Saab Downer's Grove inaction as it relates to re-issuing a VALID check to pay off my trade-in and they continue to avoid/ignore my calls. If you or anyone you know have had a similar experience with Saab Downer's Grove/Luxury Motors/Joe Abbas, PLEASE contact me at robertsonrc@yahoo.com. I truly would like to take legal action. More
I traded in my 2006 Audi A3 on April 4, 2008. The price and tradein numbers worked out well for buying a 2008 9-3 Aero. Anyways, the sales part went fine, the orientation was good enough. A few weeks later and tradein numbers worked out well for buying a 2008 9-3 Aero. Anyways, the sales part went fine, the orientation was good enough. A few weeks later, the nightmare began... I called the finance manager, Nash, multiple times to obtain information on the pending payoff on my Audi A3. It was "pending, pending, pending". I started to become leery and come to find out that the only person who can sign checks is Joe Abbas. Ahhh Mr. Abbas (check Lexis Nexis on him or google his previous business dealings - Luxury Motors is on it's way out). Anyways, I found out today that the dealer has "cash flow" problems. Gets better... They sold my Audi, so I inquire why my payoff hasn't been made (only a few thousand)? Apparently they have no idea what happened to the cash from my car sale. Sooo... I'm paying on two cars, only have one, and someone bought a car that Saab of Downers Grove did not have the title to! Illegal according to the IL Attorney General and the Secretary of State. I have no idea what is going on, but stay away - far away! Patrick Saab is a much better dealer, with upstanding sales folks. Would I have know the horror of Saab of Downers Grove, I would have spent the few extra bucks and got the car at Patrick. Lesson learned! I think their are more of you out there, as such, if you'd like to band together for a class action suit, drop my a line - mrzfxr@gmail.com More
Downers Grove Saab / Luxury motors is a horrible dealer and would avoid them at all costs if shopping for a new or used Saab. They have dishonest sales and finance associates, that are only there to make a commission off the sale and offer no assistance after the sale. After purchasing our Saab, we had a few issues related to the sales and financing team. A: They never paid off lien on our trade in so we ended up with 2 months of overdue payments on car we traded in and no longer had., Finally, after giving them every chance to make good, I ended up seeking legal help from states attorney. This is still an open issue and now may effect my credit rating. Calling the dealer to follow up on these issues I could never get hold of the person in charge of payoffs. Every time I would call the person in charge of payoffs was A: out to lunch, B: sick, C: just left for the day (at 10:00 AM,), D: in bathroom, E: just stepped away F: dealing with customer, etc. They wasted my time giving me the run around for weeks. I heard every excuse imaginable and my calls were never returned by a person in charge of payoffs. . B: They never told us until after we signed they only had one electronic key fab for car. Sales people and managements response was "we just give you what we have with the car". This would have been nice to know up front as these are expensive to replace so we could have factored that into the price of car, or chosen a different one. We finally were able to get this taken care of by the service department when I realized sales could care a less about me or the car they sold me, or helping me out. This has been the worst auto purchasing experience I have ever had to deal with in my life, and would consider a different Saab dealer and doing your homework on any dealership before making any auto purchase. C: They added extra charges for interior protection and gap insurance and stated they were required to charge these with the loan. Could have gotten these much cheaper and dealer overcharged me for these items.. More
advised i was interested in specific car and was told i would need $6-7,000 down payment. i said no. they immediately said $2-3,000 would be ok. i made appointment. when i arrived they had let someone else would need $6-7,000 down payment. i said no. they immediately said $2-3,000 would be ok. i made appointment. when i arrived they had let someone else test drive the car and it wasnt there. by the time i finally saw it, my time had been wasted because the vehicle had a dent in it and the check engine light was on. salesman offered to show me other vehicles, and i finally selected one that seemed to be in decent shape. i asked for an extended warranty, however they chose the length of the warranty without asking what i wanted. later that day after the purchase, i looked online and found out the dealership lied about the price of the car and i was charged $2,000 extra and they did not even have the decency to take the car offline so i wouldn't notice. even after this, i was contemplating the purchase of another vehicle from them and the management lied to me about my credit score (neither my fico or auto enhanced were what they said it was) and they did not submit it to any lenders that could have done the deal and instead told me what the lenders probably would say. i am highly disappointed. since purchasing, customer service has declined greatly and deal has not demonstrated good ethics.
