Bait and switch Called dealer at 11:00 for availability on specific 2016 truck. Availability confirmed. I informed I was coming with a check to buy truck for adverti Called dealer at 11:00 for availability on specific 2016 truck. Availability confirmed. I informed I was coming with a check to buy truck for advertised price, 38,700. Offered a c card for deposit Drove 1:20 when I arrived at 12:20 was told truck was sold. George assured me he could get me a 2017 with same options for same price. I was skeptical because I have done some shopping and knew the market. George produced a truck with similar options, but was gas instead of diesel(pretty significant difference). Then George said he would find it in a diesel no problem they have 17 stores. When he did find a similar diesel and I was ready to give a deposit so they could get it he broke the news to me on the price. 45,000. Over $6000 more. He wasted 1:45 of my time while he scoured the market for an available truck. What an unethical person. He is touted as having 15 years experience but does not know the difference between a gas truck and diesel truck or the difference between 38,700 and 45,000 after assuring me he could reproduce the deal that I just missed. I have bought at Napleton hyundai and Mercedes and treated well. This Arlington Heights dealership treated me unethical. When I spoke to the manager he offered an apology and some gas. They still have the same truck on their website probably hoping to snatch someone else. More
