Both of them were so nice and patient to me. I had the opportunity to drive more than 3 cars until I found the one closer to my needs and likes. I would recommend this dealer anytime. I had to go back later because my daughter needed a car and Mr. Smith helped us a lot. Thank you. More
There is a "good cop/bad cop" mentality at this dealership. I'd been shopping for a used (08-11) Ford Escape for a while now. Having done some test driving and research on true market value at this dealership. I'd been shopping for a used (08-11) Ford Escape for a while now. Having done some test driving and research on true market value, I had a ballpark figure on what they were worth and what I was going to pay. At Hawk, the sales guy was great, talking up new vs. used, incentives, warranties, etc. initally very personable. After test driving one I liked, I told him to give me numbers for 36 vs. 48 months loan with my trade in being an '08 Cherokee. The sales guy came back with some pretty outrageous numbers that had me paying close to $40,000 over the life of the loan at 60 months! After explaining that I wanted 36 or 48 months, he said that would probably add another $100 per month, but he'd check. He went back to the "numbers fairy" and whoosh! The numbers fairy (John?) was in my face. After attempting to intimidate me and treating me like an idiot, he asked me if I was under the impression he was "giving cars away". I told him I came in, liked the SUV, wanted to talk numbers and not be ripped off in the process. I told John(?) thanks for his time and the pep talk. He looked at me and said, "Good luck with that. Your Jeep isn't in big demand right now. You're not going to do any better anywhere else." I have to say, I was incredibly put off by the guy. Fortunately I went to another dealer who I've rated as "great" and got the Escape I wanted with a decent trade-in price for my not in demand Cherokee. Bottom line is this: Jgo to Hawk Ford and ask to talk numbers. When a tall dude comes and starts harassing you, you'll get the picture. I wouldn't do business there if they WERE "giving cars away". There are other options in the south burbs; go to them and skip the attitude. More
I visited this dealer because I had found a F-150 I liked on their website inventory. Test drove it, had no problems whatsoever with the salesman. My problem came when his manager decided to try and intimi on their website inventory. Test drove it, had no problems whatsoever with the salesman. My problem came when his manager decided to try and intimidate me and tell me what I was going to pay for "his" truck and that I obviously wasn't serious about buying a truck and to come back when I was. He became very angry and frustrated when I told him that there were several others exactly like it at other dealerships for less and I had only gone there due to the close proximity to my house. He slammed his pen on the desk and began being even more rude (keep in mind, I never once was disrespectful or rude in any way, shape or form). I asked for my keys back (since they were "appraising" my potential trade) and he walked away and said, "that's too bad, I don't know where they are." This was when I got angry. Went to the front desk and they told me they didn't have them. Through all this, the poor salesman was trying to salvage the little bit of a relationship that he had made with me and I could tell he was even frustrated with his manager. After several minutes and me threatening to call the police if they didn't "find" my keys, they miraculously appeared. So, I went to Westfield Ford in Countryside and bought a different F-150 (same exact package, lower miles) for less $$. It was all very unnecessary and really a shame because all I wanted was to test drive a vehicle I saw online. I would never go back nor would I recommend it to anybody. More

The rated this dealership this way due to the friendliness of Mr. Thomas(Salesman). He was interested in assisting me with what it was that I was looking for in a new car. He worked diligently w friendliness of Mr. Thomas(Salesman). He was interested in assisting me with what it was that I was looking for in a new car. He worked diligently with me and was very patient. He was not like some of the "pushy" salesman that you can encounter from time to time which made it comfortable for me to make a decision on the vehicle I purchased. Mr. Storti was very informative about the financial aspect of the deal. He worked well with me and I was also comfortable with him. When I didn't understand something he did have a problem with walking through it again so that I would fully understand. As far as I can see this dealership withstands the "Quality Customer Service" motto. More

My experience was ok. I don't feel enough time was spent explaining the features of the vehicle I purchased, i.e., not shown if or where the spare tire was, inquired about the "red button" on my key. He pu explaining the features of the vehicle I purchased, i.e., not shown if or where the spare tire was, inquired about the "red button" on my key. He pushed the button on both sets of keys, but nothing seemed to happen, and he didn't bother to pursue it any further. I also inquired about the 0% + $1000.00 that I happended to see on television, and he explained to me that you get one or the other. I even saw the commercial again yesterday and it clealry stated that a customer gets both. In addition, the car was not cleaned well, and I only had a fourth of tank of gasoline. He was very friendly, but at times I felt somewhat hurried after I made the decision to purchase the car. The finanace person "Joe" was very patient, and he didn't mind explaining things to me if I didn't understand. More
