Quoted $115 for troubleshooting. First one in door. Waited 4 hours for results. Service writer lies, says her was looking for me when I was sitting 50 feet away from him the entire time. Says $115 is Waited 4 hours for results. Service writer lies, says her was looking for me when I was sitting 50 feet away from him the entire time. Says $115 isn't enough for troubleshooting. Now a minimum, he said MINIMUM, of $500 to continue troubleshooting. CROOKS. CROOKS. CROOKS!!!!! More
I purchased a 2006 Dodge Caravan on May 5, 2012 and signed many of papers and drove off with my van the same day. They call me on June 11th and told me the banks wants another 1,200 to 1,500 more for a signed many of papers and drove off with my van the same day. They call me on June 11th and told me the banks wants another 1,200 to 1,500 more for an additional down payment. I told them "I thought the van was mine, I have been driving it for over five weeks and i'm not giving you any more money." They call me today (June 14th) and told me I have 24 hours to return the van or they will come and take it and I will lose some of my deposit. I don't understand how they could be so heartless and tell me the van is mine and then take it back. I have been driving this van for over 5 weeks and have purchased items for the van. They know I work two jobs and have a disabled husband and mother which I drive them to the Doctors. Hawk Ford seems very shady to me. I don't understand why they told me I was approved and tell me "congratulations, you are now the owner of a 2006 Dodge Caravan" and then over 5 weeks later they want more money or they will take the van back. Do not trust Hawk Ford! More
I couldn't figure out what the clicking noise coming from my left rear tire was due to on my 2004 Lincoln Town Car. I replaced the brake pads which did nothing for the noise. I finally came up with the idea my left rear tire was due to on my 2004 Lincoln Town Car. I replaced the brake pads which did nothing for the noise. I finally came up with the idea that the noise had to be the cause of the parking brake being faulty. I tried to fix it myself but I didn't have the correct socket to take the wheel off. I took it to Hawk Ford because I was impressed by their parts department which I had used previously. I knew dealerships charged ridiculos prices but I didn't think I could fix it myself. I walked into service and was told it would be $120 to look at it. Paul also said the $120 would be put towards the cost of the repair if I decided to repair it there. Paul came back an hour later with a price of $240 to fix. I believed they would have to take off the entire rear wheel to get to the problem. I was mistaken. They took off the rear rotor and accessed it that way. There was a loose brake shoe in there making the noise. I was told they would take out the parking brake apparatus so nothing else would come loose. They did nothing of the sort. They found the loose brake pad and took it out and that was it. They didn't even take the other rear wheel off. They even charged me a $25 disposal fee, totally ludicrous. I was happy to get the clicking noise gone but I was lied to and charged for work that wasn't done. I felt physically violated when I left there. I will NEVER go there for service or anything else again. It's a rip-off machine. More

Both of them were so nice and patient to me. I had the opportunity to drive more than 3 cars until I found the one closer to my needs and likes. I would recommend this dealer anytime. There is a "good cop/bad cop" mentality at this dealership. I'd been shopping for a used (08-11) Ford Escape for a while now. Having done some test driving and research on true market value at this dealership. I'd been shopping for a used (08-11) Ford Escape for a while now. Having done some test driving and research on true market value, I had a ballpark figure on what they were worth and what I was going to pay. At Hawk, the sales guy was great, talking up new vs. used, incentives, warranties, etc. initally very personable. After test driving one I liked, I told him to give me numbers for 36 vs. 48 months loan with my trade in being an '08 Cherokee. The sales guy came back with some pretty outrageous numbers that had me paying close to $40,000 over the life of the loan at 60 months! After explaining that I wanted 36 or 48 months, he said that would probably add another $100 per month, but he'd check. He went back to the "numbers fairy" and whoosh! The numbers fairy (John?) was in my face. After attempting to intimidate me and treating me like an idiot, he asked me if I was under the impression he was "giving cars away". I told him I came in, liked the SUV, wanted to talk numbers and not be ripped off in the process. I told John(?) thanks for his time and the pep talk. He looked at me and said, "Good luck with that. Your Jeep isn't in big demand right now. You're not going to do any better anywhere else." I have to say, I was incredibly put off by the guy. Fortunately I went to another dealer who I've rated as "great" and got the Escape I wanted with a decent trade-in price for my not in demand Cherokee. Bottom line is this: Jgo to Hawk Ford and ask to talk numbers. When a tall dude comes and starts harassing you, you'll get the picture. I wouldn't do business there if they WERE "giving cars away". There are other options in the south burbs; go to them and skip the attitude. More
I visited this dealer because I had found a F-150 I liked on their website inventory. Test drove it, had no problems whatsoever with the salesman. My problem came when his manager decided to try and intimi on their website inventory. Test drove it, had no problems whatsoever with the salesman. My problem came when his manager decided to try and intimidate me and tell me what I was going to pay for "his" truck and that I obviously wasn't serious about buying a truck and to come back when I was. He became very angry and frustrated when I told him that there were several others exactly like it at other dealerships for less and I had only gone there due to the close proximity to my house. He slammed his pen on the desk and began being even more rude (keep in mind, I never once was disrespectful or rude in any way, shape or form). I asked for my keys back (since they were "appraising" my potential trade) and he walked away and said, "that's too bad, I don't know where they are." This was when I got angry. Went to the front desk and they told me they didn't have them. Through all this, the poor salesman was trying to salvage the little bit of a relationship that he had made with me and I could tell he was even frustrated with his manager. After several minutes and me threatening to call the police if they didn't "find" my keys, they miraculously appeared. So, I went to Westfield Ford in Countryside and bought a different F-150 (same exact package, lower miles) for less $$. It was all very unnecessary and really a shame because all I wanted was to test drive a vehicle I saw online. I would never go back nor would I recommend it to anybody. More
