Techs need to learn how to read tires Techs in the Quick Lane department just don't get it. Scan the bar code on the door, then read the tires. If they don't match ask the owner. Don't fill the tires well below the pressure recommended on the tire. Back in the "OLD DAYS" a person would inflate tires up to 10% less than the cold max as stated on the tire sidewall to allow for expansion. For example, a tire designed to contain 80lbs of air can be filled to 72 pounds. BUT, when a tech REMOVES air from said tire down to 35psi, we are quickly approaching the debacle of the mid 90's when all those Explorers were flipping/rolling over.
