I would never go back to this dealership. I brought my GMC in for service when the check engine light came on. My normal mechanic said it’s a warranty issue and I should take it to the dealer to fix so I GMC in for service when the check engine light came on. Not only did they misdiagnose the issue, but they attempted to sell me 10 labor hours to try and find and fix it. Suspicious, I took it to another GM dealership and they checked, spoke to GMC Tech Support and found the problem (which was completely not what Napelton diagnosed), fixed it, and it was covered UNDER WARRANTY! More

Hello, concerning my last visit, I feel the thermostat didn’t need to be replaced for the problems that were occurring. The problem was intermittent and we didn’t always have the Hot engine AC off indicat didn’t need to be replaced for the problems that were occurring. The problem was intermittent and we didn’t always have the Hot engine AC off indication, could drive 100 miles in 90 degree heat and the temp stayed at 210 the entire time shut off the engine restart 15 minutes later and the temp was at 160 and immediately get the hot engine AC off indication drive a while shut the engine off restart and everything is fine temp back at 210. I don’t think this would indicate a bad thermostat but rather a bad temp sensor. The P0128 msg is driven from the temp sensor/ analog temp indicator not the thermostat. While a bad thermostat will cause a high or low coolant temp and prompt the P0128 msg I don’t believe that was the case with our problem. When we dropped off the vehicle I had asked for the coolant system flush, when I was told the thermostat was bad I thought the charge $288 would be dropped as the system is drained to replace the thermostat. I brought my Acadia to Napoleon earlier this year as I heard the service department was better than most until now I felt your dealership was trustworthy and did a good job at a fair price. More
