I was turning in a lease vehicle and they managed to keep my monthly payment to only an increase of $6.22 per month over the old lease. They helped me clean out the old car, and showed me how to use the new technology. Dave was the 1st salesperson at any/all dealers who came to us outside and greeted us in the freezing cold! Dave introduced us to everyone in all departments and gave us a tour. Dave Borntrager greeted me immediately upon me stepping out of my car and his "caring for people" skills shown itself from beginning to end. As we walked into the showroom I immediately saw familiar faces; Phil Grant and Brian Mulville. This gave me a sense of comfort and confidence that I had come to the right place. Dave bent over backwards to accommodate any requests I had and Phil backed him up. Buying a car can be a nerve wracking experience. I've always felt, especially being a woman, that I really have to be on-guard and ready to do battle when shopping for a car. Guess that's part of why I've normally kept all my cars (except for this last one) for a very long time. Always paid them off and kept them as long as 10 years. Though my most recent car was very nice, I didn't have it very long when I realized that it didn't fulfill my needs as a Real Estate Agent, so the stress of feeling I had made a mistake and that I knew I was going to lose money was very difficult for me. Dave and Phil made this transition as painless as possible for me and couldn't be more helpful along the way. God knows I'm grateful to have this whole process over with as when I'm on a mission to get something done I become obsessed and can think of little anything else. I didn't want to make a snap decision, but yet needed to get this project finished so I could go on with my many other tasks. I absolutely had to be assured that I was buying the right vehicle this time. I feel that I have accomplished that, again due to the patient, caring and accommodating service I got from this dealership. I, myself, am a very customer-service oriented person, and I so appreciate it when every now and then I'm on the receiving end. I went into this dealership for service on a vehicle that was previously purchased here. With a zero pressure approach and patience in allowing me to take my time with multiple test drives I came to the conclusion of the type of vehicle I wanted. Mr. Borntrager and management worked real hard to make the numbers come together and I drove a new vehicle home with me last night (02-18-2014) for my wife and our anniversary. We brought a vehicle that we already owned in for service and decided to consider purchasing a new vehicle while there. Brian Mulville was very helpful as we were unsure whether we wanted a GMC Terrain or GM and decided to consider purchasing a new vehicle while there. Brian Mulville was very helpful as we were unsure whether we wanted a GMC Terrain or GMC Acadia. He encouraged us to test drive both models and was very knowledgeable about each car. Afterward, when we were feeling that the Acadia was a better fit for us, he didn't press us to make a deal right on the spot and when we suggested that we'd like to come back the following Saturday to be able to have a look at the Acadia during the day, he was very accepting of that and gave us his card with his name and hours etc. When we came back he and the manager and the finance guy were all very accommodating and helpful. They took real good care of us, as did the service dept. on our other vehicle. We would definitely recommend Courtesy Buick GMC in Crystal Lake, IL. and we will definitely go back for future services/new car purchases. More
