This buying experience was as "high pressure" as I've experienced. The bottom line was that we ended up with a deal that was satisfactory to both the dealer and me. I stopped by to learn about the new Nissan Altima and get the $25 gas card that was advertised for taking a test drive. There was also an offer to provide a gift card of up to $500 if you bought a car. These promotions were advertised in the Naples Daily News, but neither the salesman knew of the promotions nor management. Once I bought the car they tried to convince me that the up to $500 gift card was really the $25 gas card. I had to insist that that was not the case. A free tank of gas was then offered. Now that I bought the car I'm expecting the gift card. None was offered other than management instructing the salesman to remind him to process the gift card at another time. I'm waiting for the gift card. Despite the high pressure and the lack of knowledge by both sales and management of the promotions, the overall experience was courteous and pleasant. More
My wife and I was approached by a sales person who listen to what models, age, wear and price we had of interest. After test driving, reviewing, and within 15 minutes, he helped narrowed the choices to thre to what models, age, wear and price we had of interest. After test driving, reviewing, and within 15 minutes, he helped narrowed the choices to three and shortly thereafter zeroed in on one to negotiate. Then after swapping two proposed bids, we reached an agreed purchase price that was close to my target. No hassling with 3-4 role playing actors, no wasting time on dickering/bantering on deceiving deals, and no surprises of adding hidden/undisclosed costs. After horrible experiences with other dealers, Naples Nissan was refreshing. Afterwards, staff remained patient and supportive when I was gathering the necessary information for them to process the paperwork. This was not an easy task because I had just moved to Florida. I look forward to using their service facilities as everyone at Naples Nissan appeared professional, polite, and committed to customer service. Genuine people who believe in win/win transactions. Called and left a message and emailed Nadine regarding adding cruise control to my Nissan. I also am looking to buy or lease a new Nissan and was hoping for a great experience. Donald did an awesome job in helping me during this process and took an active interest in making sure I got what I wanted and did a good job following up with any questions that I had. We had little problem working with Robert when purchasing the Z 370 Convertible last week. However, Paul(Sales Manager) was very difficult and did not know the price of the navigation system or even know the Z 370 Convertible last week. However, Paul(Sales Manager) was very difficult and did not know the price of the navigation system or even know what the IKP and Splash etc. options were on the Z 370. We discussed color preference and indicated that we wanted the navigation system. Paul stated, "You don't need the navigation system since you have an iPhone." Why would this sales manager tell us we don't need an option that we had indicated was important to us? Paul was quite arrogant! It was not a very happy experience purchasing our first sports car. Naples Nissan did not have the 370Z Roadster we wanted. We wanted all the bells and whistles on this car. We preffered white with black interior or black with black interior, 2012 or 2013. Paul indicated that there were none of these cars in the state of Florida. He also told us that black on black was better! We mentioned that we could wait for the car to come off of the assembly line. Paul indicated that the price would be much higher. Paul left for a long time then returned. Paul located 2 cars- 1 in Texas and 1 in VA. We picked the white 2012 located in VA. We agreed on the price in writing. Robert called to have the car shipped to Naples. The car was gone. Robert then said we could get a black on black 2012 from Texas. We agreed on the price in writing once again. Robert called to get it shipped. It was stick shift and we wanted automatic! My wife and I said we would take a new car with all of the bell and whistles and would be willing to wait for delivery. Paul said he would try some other dealers. We sat there waiting and waiting and almost walked out. Low and behold Paul returned and said "You needed to thank me because I got you a 2003 black on black at the same price located close to Tampa!" Paul said we could have it delivered the next day. We agreed again on the price in writing. All was set after a very long attempt to purcase the car. We were left waiting for way too long again. Finally, Robert indicated we would be meeting with Roman in the finace office. We were walking over to Roman's office when Paul approached us with another quotation sheet. Paul said he had made a mistake stating we would have to pay $1,000 more due to the car being a 2013. We had already made the deal on the 2013 and we were aghast at such a move. Paul backed off immediately. We purchased the car from Roman but were fuming. We still have a bad taste in our mouth. When we picked up the car, we spent way too long trying to figure out the navigation system. Robert had not had effecient training on the system. He did not even know that the voice activation did not work with the top down. Robert had to bring another person from the sales force to help him answer our questions. Your sales personel need to be trained so that they can answer questions in the best possible manner with the least waste of time and effort. They need to have the knowlege and capability to sell your products. More
