I look first for reliability, and after 40+ years of car buying, I've learned to stick with Toyota or Honda products. So that limited my search. I began looking in the Sarasota area for a new car. After a few on-sight visits, I was a bit disappointed in the way I was treated. So I turned to the Truecar ap that I read about in The New York Times. A number of dealers responded immediately via Truecar, but the first and best was Naples Acura. Scott, the Internet manager, and I exchanged a half-dozen or more emails the first day I used Truecar. By day's end, we had a deal for a new Acura ILX. He responded promptly to my questions, made a fair offer, and generally treated my like a thinking adult, not some dolt who just wandered into the dealership. Ditto with Bob Nesbitt. When we went to test drive the car and finalize the deal, we were handed off to Bob. Bob took his time showing us the car's tech features and how to use them. He was a down to earth, no BS sales person. Scott and Bob were exactly the type of pros you'd expect when you go to a higher end dealership. We had to drive 90 miles to do the deal, but it was worth it. If and when I buy another Acura, it'll be at this dealership. More
